Melody Patterson dead: F Troop actress was 66

Actress Melody Patterson, who played “Wrangler Jane” Angelica Thrift on the 1960s TV series F Troop, has died at the age of 66.

The official Facebook page for Patterson’s F Troop co-star Larry Storch shared the news on Friday. “It’s with a heavy heart that we can let you know our beloved Wrangler Jane, Melody Patterson passed away today. Our hearts are sad today. RIP Sweet Melody. We love you,” the message said.

F Troop, which revolved around the misadventures at an Army outpost in the Wild West, ran on ABC from 1965-1967. Patterson’s acting credits also include roles on The Monkees, Green Acres, Adam-12, and the original Hawaii Five-0 (appearing alongside her then-husband, James MacArthur), as well as films like The Cycle Savages and Blood and Lace.
