Strictly's Amanda Abbington has revealed her wedding plans with fiance Jonathan Goodwin.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 52, has revealed that she's planning on tying the knot to Jonathan on a friend's farm. The actress, who had a challenging year after participating in Strictly Come Dancing and later withdrawing due to PTSD, is looking forward to happier times ahead.

She is set to marry America's Got Talent stuntman Jonathan next year and shared some details of the upcoming nuptials. Amanda revealed: "It's at my friend's house she has a lovely farm, so we're going to do it here in the UK."

The guest list will include some recognisable faces, as Amanda added: "The actress Sue Vincent, who starred in Shameless and Coronation Street, and is my son's godmother, is going to be my maid of honour. We've been friends for over 30 years."

However, not all details are finalised yet. Amanda confessed that she and her partner of three years are still planning their big day, which was put on hold after Jonathan suffered severe spinal injuries from a botched stunt in 2021.

Just months into their whirlwind romance, Jonathan found himself paralysed for life following a daring stunt gone wrong. The incident, which was part of the now-cancelled series America's Got Talent: Extreme, saw Jonathan attempting to escape from a straitjacket while suspended 30 feet in the air. His injuries were severe, including a lost kidney, broken shoulder blades, shattered legs, a fractured spine, and a severed spinal cord.

Amanda revealed that they are now focusing on their wedding plans. She told OK! Magazine: "We don't know yet [whether it will be a big or small affair]. We're still planning, and we're just enjoying him getting well and getting fit and strong again. It's been a tough few months, but we're slowly getting back on track."

Amanda has seldom spoken about her upcoming wedding, but she got engaged to Jonathan within days of meeting him, with the stuntman proposing during their first date. Amanda then shared the sentiment 'when you know, you know'.
