***MAPPING ERROR*** It's not a major concern but there is an error on the map at Missendon Road Crossing from/to Pipers Lane. The map suggests a footpath approaching Limmers Mead. As an alternative follow Pipers Lane or Missendon Road and turn onto New Road. Besides this matter, this is a standard trail. The usual nettles and brambles and need for appropriate footwear. I found it fine for a jog in July. On road sections without footpath were limited to around 200 meter sections. Some footpaths but also some nice sections through farms and wooded paths.
Trail is ok, not recommended at all in or after rain. Very muddy and the more hilly paths are not cleared of leaves so could be dangerous. Definitely don’t recommend with a dog - main roads with no paths to cross, gate left open onto roads. Also not recommended for anyone who climbing a gate wouldn’t be possible for - very tight gap!! Wellies or leakproof boots needed.
The trail details are not very accurate. In fact, in the final stretch from Pipers Lane to New Road does not exist. i had to walk along the main Missenden Road to get back to the Great Kingshill Village Hall. Also, the footpath to the right on Peterley Lane has a fenced off path which does not correspond with the Alltrails map.
