広い公園

定禅寺通沿いにある、大きな公園。
隣にNHKがある、ビジネス街だが緑の多い憩いの場。
大きなグランドを回るように舗装された道があり、朝はランニングしている方もいる。
ビジネス街が近いので、公園を横切って通勤する方も多い。
遊具もあるので、夕方早い時間には遊んでいる親子連れも。
入口に交番があるし公衆トイレもあるので、いろんな意味で安心して利用できるかも。

仙台市街地にある桜の名所

4月の桜の季節は毎年公園内は桜の花で綺麗に彩られます。錦町公園は職場に近いこともあり、この時期は、仙台駅から職場までの歩いて通勤するルートを少し変えて、桜を朝に見てから職場に向かうのが楽しみの一つです。今年は、4月頭が寒かったので、開花が少し遅れるかなと思っていた矢先に急に暑くなり、その後すぐに開花して、あっという間に散ってしまいした。それでもコロナ禍で気持ちが上がらない毎日に少しですが、安らぎを与えてくれるこの桜の存在は大きいです。

スペースはありますが

定禅寺通りと愛宕上杉通りがクロスする角にある公園です。ホテルの近くで朝に散歩がてら寄りました。なかなかの広さを誇る公園で、ところどころベンチもあり休んでいる地元の方もいましたが、グラウンドにしろ、あまり観光客が見どころを感じる場所ではないかな。

買い物のついでに定禅寺通り沿いにある錦町公園に寄ってきました。色々なイベントを行う公園ですが、冬は少し寂しい風景です。

公園の中央に円形に歩道が整備され、真ん中が少し盛られています。ふだんは小さな子を連れた家族がいたり、桜を見る人がいたり、とても和む華やかな公園です。

仙台市の中心部を散策していたら、この公園を見つけたので休憩に使いました。
勾当台公園や宮城県庁、仙台市役所から徒歩で行ける場所で、交通のアクセスは良好です。

春を告げる公園

仙台で最も早く桜が咲く公園です。例年、開花宣言より1週間くらい早く、今年は3月28日頃に開花していました。しかも、咲いたあとに雪が降るなど寒い日が続いたため、長く楽しめました。隣にNHK仙台放送局のオシャレなビルができて、都市公園として良い雰囲気になってきました。年に二度ほどここを会場としてオクトーバーフェストが開催され、多くの市民で賑わいます。

春は桜がきれい

こじんまりとした街中の公園です。普段は静かですが、春は桜がきれいでお花見をする人たちでにぎわいます。いろんなイベントもあります。
