Stine, "Eye Candy" stars Victoria Justice as 21-year-old computer whiz Lindy Sampson, who can recognize clues and connections in the digital world that others can't. She uses those skills to search for her abducted younger sister, while occasionally bending the law to help with other unsolved missing persons cases. Persuaded by best friend and roommate Sophia to try online dating, Lindy suspects that one of her suitors is a cyberstalker. When law enforcement uncovers a potential serial killer in Manhattan, the stalker is the leading suspect. Lindy teams with the cyberunit and some hacker friends in the murder investigation, unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York. David Hinckley New York Daily News If you're up for an hour of the ominous, Eye Candy earns its way into the next generation of noir. Rated: 3/5 Jan 22, 2015 Full Review Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times The prologue is well-handled, suspenseful and alarming. Jan 12, 2015 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Among the burdens of shows associated with MTV is a need to feel youthful and occasionally on the cutting edge. The drama Eye Candy falls well short of those marching orders. Jan 9, 2015 Full Review Paul Lê Bloody Disgusting The Eye Candy show is substantially different from what Stine envisioned, yes, but the changes allow for a more engaging television experience. The stakes are higher and the twists are aplenty in this tangled interpretation of the source material. Rated: 3/5 Mar 2, 2024 Full Review Emily Ashby Common Sense Media Contrived though it is, Justice plays her part well, and there are endless plot twists that will appeal to teens. Rated: 3/5 Jan 30, 2015 Full Review Carissa Pavlica TV Fanatic Much like this summer's Finding Carter, reality is stretched very thin, yet you cannot take your eyes off the screen. Audience Member I don't like it okay Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review andrei d So, so bad and wannabe edgy Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Outstanding, Taught and just plain fun Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Even Victoria Justice could not save the show from it's bad acting, predictability of the story. The story itself was entirely preposterous and the characters are unbelievably dull and stupid. Once again, nothing to see here. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked this series and the surprise twist at the end. I was not expecting that. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member MTV's Eye Candy has captivated me. Justice (Lindy) plays her character very well. From the Pilot until the most recent episode I have been drawn in by this suspenseful, mystery, and even romantic storyline. It's like the CSI for cyber crimes only more youthful.
