We attended a “Howl at the Moon” dueling piano event here. FUN! The place is historic, has 3 buildings for food, live bands, pizza, dancing…..a great gem in a small, popular town!

I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt. We were there during a busy weekend, and it was a soft (re)opening. But still. A *very* limited menu, and even still, it took an insane amount of time to get our food. The system of walking around with the food and asking people their names to try and match meals to patrons is... inefficient. Having table numbers, having a PA system to call names, almost ANYTHING else would work better. However, the food, once received, was decent. But the focus was definitely on the drinks (which, as I was driving, I did not imbibe, so I cannot speak to the quality of the bar).

Pizza is beyond amazing! Extended wine list! Great beer on tap! The service, atmosphere, and food are above and beyond. This place is a must for my husband and I every trip to Roundtop

We live here and regularly frequent this restaurant. Tonight we ordered a small pizza (which we've never ordered before) and a large pizza, along with three beers. The small pizza's crust was so hard that I couldn't chew it. (It's a completely different type of crust from the large pizza which has a thin crust. This difference is not noted on the menu.) I immediately found the owner of the restaurant, John Perez, and told him that the crust was so hard that it hurt my teeth to eat it AND I showed him the pizza. He looked at it and told me, and I quote, "The small pizza crust has been like that since day one. If you'd like to order a large, we can make you one but we'll have to charge you." Really? He didn't offer to refund us for the Small Pizza, nor did he even offer to make us a new large one and just charge us the difference. THIS IS A $7 PIZZA! I am completely baffled and franky pretty shocked that this was the way the owner handled the situation. I didn't order another pizza because it's going to be a cold day before he gets any more of my money. On the other hand, our waiter, Josh, was great! Maybe John should relegate customer service over to Josh? 🤔

Unfortunately, you had a bad experience and after the owner explained the difference in the crusts, but we can't offer free pizza due to the texture of our crust. Sorry for your experience.

Entertainment: Excellent. Live singers. Listen to two different singers. Both were good and one outstanding.
Food: Medium. They serve either cold sandwich meals immediately or made-to-order pizza.
We ordered sandwiches. We found that the meals were pre-made in boxes. The sandwiches were shrink wrapped and served with grapes, chips and a granola bar.
I had turkey chipotle which was rather bland. My wife had the chicken salad which she said was good. We heard from others that the pizza was good.

Thank you for the review! The pre-made sandwiches were made during our Texas Antique Weeks...it's the busiest time of the Year so we pre-make sandwiches every morning!

We visit The Stone Cellar whenever we are in the area which is typically for the Antique show. Love the huge covered porch and live music. The beer and pizza is good too! They also offer a good selection of wine.

Oh yes! TEXAS at its best. It was a weeknight but they still had some music. I can only imagine when it’s full of people and a band. Cannot WAIT to return!
We had a couple great pizzas and some wine and beer. Fun patio to watch the sunset great service .

Great place to spend your time with some friends and pizza! They have salads, plus a good variety of beer, and wine. The service was awesome and they were very friendly. The Atmosphere is rustic with wooden floors and tables both inside and out. Loved this place!

The Stone Cellar is a rustic, old timey type bar and grill with creaking wooden floors and wooden tables. There are tables inside and outside. The outside tables are scattered on the wrap around deck/porch. The building sits up off the ground a bit, which gives the whole place a unique feel. There is a generous selection of draft beer and wines. The live entertainment is great. A band called the Black Cat Choir kept our toes tapping with great tunes from the 60's and 70's. We also had a great time watching two precious girls around 8 years old dancing to the beat with their parents. The relaxed family atmosphere is just the right place to unwind in a tiny country town. Round Top is near Warrenton where a big antique event happens in the spring and fall. It is surely worth the drive!

Always a fun time....Mr. Perez (Owner) is on top of things and always there, greeting and conversing with his patrons...ice cold beer, live music, locals and tourists love it...I live in Burton and this place is on my A List.
