Staying here for the longest week and half of my life for work... After work, I wanted rotisserie chicken for supper... there was absolutely no rotisserie chicken anywhere in this town! And I went to 6 stores!! Wanted it for supper, had McDs instead. That was also a disappointment as usual...
Not to mention that everything closes by the time I get off work which kinda sucks... kinda the only thing open are the liquor stores which makes my stay tolerable.

The 2 women working were very empathetic and helpful when I informed them about our situation (read Cozy Court review)

Very informative staff with great resources available to help answer all visitors inquiries.
Centrally located in a beautiful building, right next to the Sechelt Aquatic centre and public library.

Our local paper announced this week that the Centre would not open for the coming season. I have visited for information and the Centre was well stocked with pamphlets.
There are many other B.C. visitors centers that have interesting souvenirs and t shirts
Local art work and displays. Sechelt Centre was just not in their league.

You'll be pleased to know the the Sechelt Visitor Centre is now re-opened under new management from Sunshine Coast Tourism! We are working on a new retail program so we can offer souvenirs and t-shirts and other useful goods that travellers may have left at home! We hope you'll stop in for a visit soon, we are open 7 days a week.

not only does this facility help visitors with information about Sechelt but also gives visitors advice on the whole sunshine coast. Very clean building with public toilets, very helpful staff, generous with their time staff.

We had a couple of ideas of things we wanted to do in the area, but one of the senior staff members spent some time with us and gave us lots of great tips, from local markets to provincial parks, and restaurants. We took a look of their tips throughout our week on the coast.

Yes, it was a busy long weekend, but people who can handle long wknd. visitors should be the ones working there! The young student employee who waited on us was stiff and unfriendly and seemed annoyed when we asked if they had a topo map with hiking trails - or any type of map showing the trails. She said there is no such map in existence because the trails ate always changing/ new trails being added. Made no sense because maps for other areas (Sea to sky, etc.) not only exist but are updated every so often. She sold us a map for $5.50, exclaiming in her annoyed tone, ‘but it’s out of date.’ Then why are you carrying it, I might ask!
Anyway, nice visitor centre but please hire friendlier staff/ students to work on summer wknds.

I’m sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience at the Sechelt Visitor Centre. We serve hundreds of visitors each week and receive many positive comments about our staff, the information we carry and the service we offer. Our staff is happy to provide visitors with the best information we have about the sights, activities and attractions on the Coast, including a select variety of maps, brochures, information sheets, useful websites and our own personal insights and experience. I regret that your experience on that day was not satisfactory, and invite you to drop by the Sechelt Visitor Centre should you return to the Coast and we will be glad to give you the latest on events, activities and happenings to help make your stay enjoyable.

When you need to know all the fun hotspots of the sunshine coast, visit the tourist info center. Helpful staff, lots of brochures. Right next to police station, public library and awesome public pool with large workout room. Located right in downtown Sechelt.

This is the place to go to find out about what to see and do on The Sunshine Coast. Not only are the regular spots well covered, but there is lots of information about the periodic seasonal events like art shows, music festivals and the other many things that make the Sunshine Coast unique.

Very helpful visitors centre on the sunshine coast a lovely name, unfortunately it was unseasonably cool in June and raining when we visited. We did what was possible indoors mostly.

So sad to hear that it was raining when you came up to the Sunshine Coast. Hopefully, if you come up again the weather should be better since we have a lot of outdoor activities for you to enjoy. Come back soon!
