Green's Brady Rollyson, Alliance's Ryan Bruni lead 2023 all-league baseball honors

Green's Brady Rollyson is the Federal League Player of the Year and Alliance's Ryan Bruni is the Eastern Buckeye Conference Player of the Year to highlight the Stark County-area all-league high school baseball selections. 

Triway's Chad Harper took the top individual honor in the PAC-7. All-league teams and awards were selected by the leagues' coaches.

Rollyson, a junior shortstop, batted .417 with 21 runs, 17 steals and 15 walks. The Ohio State recruit was second in the league in batting behind only Lake's Noah Kubasky (.439). Rollyson keeps the award in the family. His cousin, Jacob Rollyson, was last year's Federal League Player of the Year.

McKinley's Zak Zelmer is the Federal League Coach of the Year. Zelmer led the Bulldogs to a 5-7 league record, good for a tie for fourth place, after going winless in league play last year. 

Jackson and GlenOak shared the Federal League title at 10-2. For the Polar Bears, it was their second straight and eighth league title in the last nine seasons. GlenOak's league title was its first since 2011. Despite their success, the Polar Bears' earned just one first-teamer compared to four for GlenOak, two for Green, two for Hoover and two for Lake.

Bruni, a junior catcher, batted .355 with two home runs, four doubles, 15 RBIs and 26 runs. Bruni led the Aviators (19-8, 8-2) to an outright EBC title, their first league championship of any kind since 2009.

Alliance's Jeff Graffice is the EBC Coach of the Year, while Triway's Justin McDowell is the PAC-7 Coach of the Year after leading the Titans to the outright league title at 12-2.
