Phil Hoad Guardian Writer-director Colin Krawchuk saddles us with a poorly written, lead-footed plot delivered in stodgy lumps between killings. Rated: 2/5 Nov 7, 2023 Full Review Miguel Calabria EscribiendoCine An interesting character totally squandered and wasted, surrounded by mediocrity and a dearth of good decisions. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 4/10 Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Milagros Amondaray La Nación (Argentina) While it attempts to explore a relationship that strengthens amid panic, The Jester is a superfluous record of a figure who, far from frightening, is a lackluster copy of infinitely superior characters of the genre. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 2/5 Feb 28, 2024 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) This American horror film has arrived in Britain too late for Halloween this year, and I’m not sure its bogeyman will be well enough remembered to inspire many costumes next October. Rated: 2/5 Nov 13, 2023 Full Review Martin Unsworth Starburst Like Art the Clown, the Jester is a great, simple concoction that is creepy enough to enter the imagination of fans. Rated: 3/5 Nov 6, 2023 Full Review Hope Madden The Screening Room Podcast This is often beautifully shot, and it could have been a solid short, but the b-story is poorly written and the mythology/metaphor does't hold water. Be Kind A I really Liked this movie, not sure why all the Bad review. Lots of creepy and oh boy moments that get you thinking. I think it was original with a lot of cool things I have Never before. Some of you that are posting Bad reviews should start watching movies with headphones. Lots of creepy subtle noses and music in this sound track! I would definitely watch a second movie if it came out. Well Done! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review Tim M The only thing this movie has going for it is the Jester’s mask design. However, it is an obvious attempt to mimic Art the Clown. Beyond that, the movie is just a cheap, poorly acted, poorly written, poorly directed attempt at a horror movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/24 Full Review Audience Member One of the worst movies I've ever watched. Horrible acting with no plot. Watch paint dry instead Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review 帥甘 魔 This movie is just a waste of time, the only good part is just the jester horror part, and this movie has no plot, I don't suggest anyone to watch this. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/02/24 Full Review Steven t Overall worth a watch but seems like it could have been fleshed out a bit more. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/02/24 Full Review Brittany R No plot and unnecessarily sad. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
