OUR SCHOOLS AT A GLANCE

“A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.”

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

ALIYU ESTHER AITEO ENERGY RESOURCES

Esther Aliyu, I work with Aiteo Energy Resources. For me, Longford International School didn't just teach, but it was a ground where I found myself. I was battling with low self-esteem, and I came to LIS and met other learners. I realized that I am unique and I began to believe in myself. Thanks to teachers who gave every student importance. Before Longford, I struggled academically also, but not only did my grades pick up at LIS, I also had great scores in my SSCE exams. Longford has consistently given me the opportunity and enabling environment to achieve my dreams even during my undergraduate studies and now as an adult. Longford International School is a home, no child grows out of a home. Even if you are 50, you are still part of that home.

MORUFAT OKEDARA OLUWATOYIN NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS

My name is Morufat Okedara Oluwatoyin.I’m an alumni of Longford International School. Longford is a beautiful citadel of learning where ones dreams are nurtured. The educators are the best as they want you to become a better version of yourself by helping out in various ways. Looking back to five years since I graduated, I can say I have grown to see my potentials evidently staring at the stars. At Longford International School, I was not only blessed academically but also engaged in extra curricular activities like drama club, Literary and debate club, jet club etc. The drama club has helped pave a way for me to nurture my dream of becoming an actress and since I left Longford, I have been doing amazing and great works that I’m proud of.

AMONAH ARIJE EAST TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY USA.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, and recently completed a Master of Science program in Chemistry at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), Johnson City, TN, in 2019 and 2023, respectively. She currently works as a laboratory chemist in the US. I am grateful for the foundational experience at LIS because these educational and professional achievements were partly motivated by the intensive and balanced academic program at Longford International School. I wish every school were like Longford International School. Every child would benefit from its warm and inviting environment. They stress kindness and being respectful to others. They encourage students like no other school.

GINO OBASEKI LAGOS,NIGERIA

My six transformative years at Longford International School stand as the cornerstone of my personal growth journey. Despite achieving the pinnacle of academic excellence within my cohort, the true watershed moment occurred when I ascended to the esteemed position of head boy in this venerable institution. It was during this tenure that I unveiled my latent talents and embarked on an odyssey of self-discovery within the realm of leadership. To chronicle the narrative of my life without intricately weaving the tapestry of my experiences at Longford International School would be an incomplete endeavor. The pedagogy imparted transcended the confines of the classroom, permeating the very essence of my character.

CHIAMAKA ONUKOGU NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY ILLINOIS

Guided by divine providence, I find myself progressively attaining the fragments of my aspirations. With unwavering conviction, I affirm that Longford International School is an indelible part of this unfolding saga of accomplishment. LIS for me was a training ground for independence and moral excellence. I learned to take up responsibilities and handle them efficiently as an early introduction to adulthood. Balancing academics, prefectship responsibilities, and social life, all with the assistance of helpful teachers, boarding house caretakers, and friends. It felt like I was given room to grow, possibly make mistakes, and correct them in a controlled environment. Kind of like learning to ride a bicycle with training wheels.
