As a Betty Wright fan I enjoy pretty much all of her music. Her honesty and take on relationships can be candid but refreshing. I bought the CD for "Unspeakable Joy" and found a few other tracks I enjoyed just as much. It's not my favorite but it is definitely one worth listening to. I admit I prefer her earlier stuff but I'm coming around.

I have been looking for this cd for a long time. I remember hearing betty wright sing Quiet Storm as a kid. And the thing that caught my ear was the high note at end of the song. I thought to myself wow this lady has an incredible range. Everybody keeps going on about Mariah Carey and how great her voice is especially her high notes. I think she has even been put in the guiness book of world records for hitting the highest note ever recorded. I just want to let people know that Miss Wright has been hitting those notes long before Mariah came on the scene. She just never got the notoriety she deserved. I'm not trying to take anything from Mariah, after all I am a fan of hers. But I think Betty Wright can give her a run for her money when it comes to the high notes. Over all this is a great cd.

On this important 1988 release, Betty Wright honestly and frankly delves into the many facets of love, romance and relationships. Any one who has ever loved and lost (or been wronged) can easily relate to "It's Been Real" and "Lightnin'" while "From Pain To Joy" deals with the joy and happiness of finding your true love after pain, disillusion and heartbreak. Perhaps most importantly "Keep Love New" and the title track offer some important and true advice on keeping love and romance"new" for a lifetime. Superb.

Refined Elegance

When I was updating my cd records from vinyl; Betty Wright's 4u2njoy album was one
of the first cds I wanted to update. Her voice is truly majestic, and when I come home from a particularly
stressful day, I'll pop on this album, kick-back and relax in my favourite armchair for an hour or so.
Each track is equally brilliant, but if I had to choose a favourite - though difficult - I would
opt for 'Valley Of The Lonely', followed closely by, 'Quiet Storm'. If Betty Wright has made a better
album, I haven't heard it yet.
If I could give this album a higher rating, I wouldn't hesitate in doing so!
