David Ehrlich indieWire Satisfying as this documentary might be in the greater story of Lopez’s personal growth, it barely hangs together on its own. Rated: B- Feb 28, 2024 Full Review Todd Gilchrist Variety By harnessing not just the drive that made Lopez a superstar but the fragility (especially personal) inherent in its maintenance, Jason Bergh’s film accomplishes something unexpected: offering audiences a truly new way to look at her. Feb 26, 2024 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider This doc is really most effective as a companion piece to This Is Me…Now, Jennifer Lopez’s glittery meta movie/video experiment that puts her new music into motion. Mar 15, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media The insight from this explainer infuses that rather odd earlier film, which Lopez self-financed, with new meaning. Mar 11, 2024 Full Review Courtney Howard Fresh Fiction Insightful, intimate and immediate, the artist’s brave, intuitive creative process takes center stage – and it’s nothing short of fascinating. Rated: A- Feb 28, 2024 Full Review Peter Gray The AU Review As a personality who always seems to have her best foot forward when it comes to her image in the media, the stripped-back nature of The Greatest Love Story Never Told only strengthens Lopez’s portrayal as a relatable figure. Marthaiz R Horrific , it’s basically same like always. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/01/24 Full Review Megan e I appreciated the explanation of the film, and I recommend watching this before This is Me Now. While it was interesting, I am a bit skeptical of her claiming she’s finally telling her truth. She’s never been shy about that in the past, so it seems a bit self-serving. 3.5 stars Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Phuong D I wonder how many people will judge this documentary as a "Bennifer" documentary when it's the story of finding love in oneself. That is indeed the greatest love story never told. We all should love ourselves a little more. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Paige R The social media scrutiny for this film made me feel compelled to watch to see “how bad it really was.” I expected to shut it off after 15 mins, and I expected to come out hating Jlo (I’ve never had feelings about her either way, she was a little before my time for me to even know any of her songs.) The reality is, bits and pieces have been snipped and put all over social media to make her and the film look bad. I was so surprised, but genuinely moved by this. I genuinely liked the film and would say just to give it a try for yourself :) And as far as the 22 year olds who think they are psychiatrists because of tik tok lol, calling her a narcissist through the whole thing… all I can say is that’s totally unwarranted. I’m genuinely surprised anybody came to that conclusion. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/24 Full Review Marce S This is a beautiful story . Jennifer did a exellent job I can see how her acting skills has improved so much. Thank you for such a beautiful story Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/18/24 Full Review Nathalia T Great behind the scenes documentary opening up to the process, hard work, doubts, setbacks, adjustments and difficulties faced even by A-listers trying to bring their vision to reality. I’m sure this happens a lot, just never shown, so it is great for the public to be able to see the process. Lovely chemistry, love and understanding between Jennifer and Ben, their banters are real and they are very relaxed, gentle and affectionate around each other, just like me and hubs :). The fact that Artists Equity produced this doc shows the commitment and support they provide each other. Many of the negative comments here on RT are not objective and very biased. Let’s promote a kinder world all around. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/03/24 Full Review Read all reviews
