Minecraft Tower defence server (mc-td.net)
One of the best tower defence games i've ever played.
The game is like any other td. you buy towers to kill mobs to get money to buy towers but it has a few other things that make it really stand out.
first of all most towers only shoot one way. so strategic placing is key.
Next the mobs use pathfinding to take the shortest route to the end. You can place turrets to force mobs to go wherever you wish. Its also 3d so you can make them go up as well. So long as what you do doesnt make it impossible for either zombies or spiders to reach the end you can make them do whatever you want.
The records atm are pretty damn high courtesy of me and a few others being in a competition.
Server is old (1.8.9) which is a shame and there are a few bugs and exploits but you can use those to your advantage if you know how

I was just thinking about this server again. I made some videos on it but they have since been deleted from YouTube, by me don’t worry.
I was once on the leader boards and would do very well on one of the tracks alone. I have thought about going back and playing it. I might give it a shot today.
Leaderboard records have gotten pretty rediculous now. Wonderwind, cobi and td Simple have all had their waves pretty much waved out using a variety of exploits. You may be able to squeeze one or two more out in the 6 hour window but not more. As for dimensions that's still up for grabs. Far as I remember I still hold the record for it at 93 or something. You need to establish a reliable path switching method but if you do another 10,20, 30 waves might be possible.
Two days ago I started playing on this server. I'm trying to make the leaderboards with some friends.
At the moment we can't get past lvl 69.

The server contains the best td gamemode that I have ever seen.
Which map are you focusing on. I know for me the wind run map is probably the easiest. And colors is difficult just because there is so much to do, you need people for it. And colors has the constant stairs it makes it hard. Spiders are a real nightmare too the poison ones, even worse.
I'm focussing on Wonderwind. Havent played on the server lately.

Dimensions was my least favorite map, I think my favorite was wonderwind.
Dimensions is a pain. Unlike every other map its extremely hard to reach the high waves even when you know what your doing. Wonderwind was fun. Nice relatively small simple map with a narrowish path already built. Cobis a bit awkward. But has the most exploits by far.
