i didn't actually watch this but i read the title as 'who shat pat?' and it made me laugh out loud
A very early film with Sandra Bullock as one of several students at an interracial vocational high school in Brooklyn in the late 1950's.
Tensions arise, but it's mostly interesting to see a very young Bullock.
After watching this movie I think my brain is too dead to ramble about why it’s bad, so just know that it’s Very Bad. I will say about Sandra Bullock is that she as was precious and lovely as always, but woah at the just super nude shower scene she randomly had for no reason?? I think this movie takes the cake for the most weirdly shot sex scene I've ever seen as well.
A nice surprise Allison Janney in her film debut though!
Before she was America’s Sweetheart, Sandy Bullock appeared in this made-for-TV feeling coming of age drama set largely at a vocational high school in the 1950s. Every one of the “boys” this story focuses on is essentially charmless and nearly identical to the other. I could barely keep which over 25 year old man posing as a high school kid I was supposed to care about and which I was supposed to hate straight. The music is a mix of actual 50s tunes and completely anachronistic 80s easy listening synth trash that makes for some jarring transitions. Especially the treacly number that tinkles over the extremely overlong “love scene”. There’s supposedly some racial tension being addressed by this too, but…
Watched this because of Sandra Bullock. Came expecting a thriller or mystery, but it's just a 1950s teen film. Some funny moments, however the plot and characters were hard to keep track of.
