Ranch alamitos is good place it sport me. I was ELD student i got alot of support and they are friendly people. That is Great experience
This school has been a great experience , however there were many qualities that did not allow me to enjoy school to the fullest. I can say that my biggest complaint are the teachers as they do not seem to be prepared for what they are supposed to be teaching. I know that as I continued to move on to my junior and senior year the teachers got worse and worse. For instance my math teacher this year had us struggling with a C average as we had to teach ourselves Trigonometry. Then for the next semester we have statistics and whilst she offers extra help it doesn't really help them. Then for sports I wish there were more than basic sports and better coaches. The school focuses on what is economic and has teachers to coach the sport, and in my case I had a history teacher coach me for soccer and he was terrible at it. And when we had an opportunity to replace him for an actual soccer coach the school wouldn't do it. As for my good experiences I enjoy the diversity this school represents.
Rancho Alamitos has allowed me and many others to grow as individuals. Rancho Alamitos has encouraged me to work hard for my goals, stay determined, and to never give up. The teachers are supportive of you and you know that they will always be there to guide and mentor you in the right direction. The student body is lively and kind. The worst parts of this school would be the small population of students who remain discouraged and do not try.
Love the teacher involvement to make sure that students are successful as well as making sure that every student's mental health is okay. Also takes into consideration when assigning projects, assignments, and test. Love dedication of some coaches to have practice even late into the day. School spirit is really low and difficult to hype up especially after quarantine. Some teachers are scary and assignments are really flexible, and help is always available. Many of the teachers will be individuals that I will remember made such a meaningful impact on my high school adventure. There are multiple opportunities and scholarships that are offered as well.
The best parts about my high school, Rancho Alamitos, is that the teachers are super friendly and helpful. Teachers on campus go out of their way to build tight relationships with students. The people you meet on campus are friendly for the most part. The facilities are blocked on certain parts of the school due to problems with vaping. The lunch lines are also very disorganized, and people shove each other a lot to make it into the cafeteria, so I would like this to change.
I am a freshman currently enrolled in Rancho Alamitos High School. For your information, my fall schedule (from periods 1-6) consists of English Honors, Biology, Geometry, AP Human Geography, P.E., and Spanish 1. All these classes are pretty good and I say I’m extremely fortunate to have nice and helpful teachers.
There’s a thing unique to this high school called the F.A.C.T. program. It gives freshman who had good grades and applied to this program three classes: English Honors, Biology, and AP Human Geography. While the work is quite plentiful, it’s not as stressful as long as you manage your time well and keep up with the work (as with any other class). It’s a good program since all three classes being connected, plus the teachers are nice and very attentive.
I did overhear that from my other schoolmates that teachers outside of the F.A.C.T. program are not quite as great. To any other students reading this, be aware that some math teachers may not be for you.

Rancho Alamitos High School is filled with amazing staff members and teachers. They make sure to give students the best education that they can. The school environment is very nature green and relaxing. Trees are roaming everywhere providing everyone shades from the deadly sun. Most students are so friendly and welcoming. The school make sure to provide great events for students and staff to have fun with one another. I have not had any bad experiences at Rancho Alamitos High yet.
Personally I feel like Rancho is and amazing school. Being a student there has been a great experiance and the community is great. The teachers are all really nice and helpful and genuinely care about the students. I feel there there are a lot of great clubs and creative outlits as well. People are really nice there and nobody tolerates any sort of discrimination or bullying. We have therapists on campus as well and our student counselors are always available to help us. I will say that there are a few teachers there that are somewhat mean and strict. I've had some bad experiences with some teachers but there are a lot more nice teachers than mean ones. Still our lunches are good and its a fun school.
friendly and teachers. clean campus . teachers often helps student that are struggling with their homework
I liked their school spirit, but they lack diversity. Small school, little parking space, dirty restrooms, and only one restroom open.
My experience with Rancho Alamitos High School started at the beginning of freshman year. I have been active with this school even during the pandemic. My overall experience with Rancho has been great. As a senior I think there are many resources and student involvement to help each other. The clubs and diversity is a great way to experience high school and they are many clubs to try out. I have never had difficulties with this school, but I wished everyone was more involved with academics and expressed more school spirit.
Rancho Alamitos High School is a very well rounded high school that is filled with a great team of teachers and staff. The sports and facililties on this campus could use improvement that will only benefit the success of stuents and atheletes. The safety of this school is maintained by the abundance of security in the hallways but that does not seem to stop the terror of some students.
My experience at Rancho Alamitos was overall good, yet looking back there could be some improvements for students in terms of curriculum and resources. It was not until entering college that I started to notice the depth of the curriculum we were taught was not at par with that of my colleagues at college. Also, the emphasis on attending a competitive entry University was almost nonexistent, while the school encouraged students to attend a university after high school there were not any resources to look into these higher options. Things such as university seminars on campus or college fairs would have benefited many students to become motivated and set goals in their academia to reach them. The teaching staff was pretty helpful, especially my AVID teacher who pushed students to strive and reach their best version of themselves.
I attended Rancho Alamitos High School for my junior and senior years only. The school's culture is a generally positive one with less hateful behavior than the average American high school. There is a wide variety of clubs and activities that reflect the school's diverse student population. The music program is excellent and the culture that the music director creates in his classroom is something amazing. Most of the teachers are passionate about helping students succeed in their future endeavors, but a few can be bigoted and immoral. The food is subpar, but as is expected in any underfunded public high school. The administration and other staff make do with the lack of funding and are still able to take care of the student population. The area surrounding the school isn't the safest, especially with mentally ill transients roaming the nearby gas stations and liquor stores. The school's security staff do their best at keeping students safe and have succeeded for the most part.
Rancho Alamitos is an average school at best. Last year had multiple events of people (notably boys) causing a ruckus in the bathroom, which caused an unpleasant school environment as there were guards outside the restroom. Furthermore, there are not enough academic opportunities for high-achieving students like me and barely any emphasis on STEM. Resources at this school is minimal, for there is a lack of a proper stadium and track and field. School culture and club activities wane as the year goes by. More work should be done on college readiness, as I had to join specific programs to learn more.
However, Rancho has great AP teachers, as my experience with them have been phenomenal. This school could've been so much worse, but they at least provide students with numerous sports and activities and a wide variety of classes. I appreciate the administration's effort to hear students' concerns.

I wrote a review but it got deleted so in a nutshell, overall good school. Would recommend. Very accommodating and friendly campus with great teachers.
The faculty at Rancho Alamtios High School is amazing and supportive. The environment is welcoming and comfortable. There is a variety of good food items like chicken alfredo, spaghetti, pizza, and nachos.
