Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros have announced a handful of new September tour dates. The ensemble, comprised of the band’s namesake and Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti, will participate in shows slated to take place in Charlottesville, Va., South Burlington, Vt., Columbus, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

The first newly dropped appearance will occur on Sept. 13 at Ting Pavilion in Charlottesville, Va. After, Weir will join Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival tour for previously announced appearances, which are mixed in with the original member of the Grateful Dead’s forthcoming Wolf Bros schedule.

After the initial Wolf Bros shows, their ensuing gig is set to happen on Sept. 19 at The Green At Shelburne Museum in South Burlington, Vt. From there, Weir will once again join Nelson before resuming his Wolf Bros schedule on Sept. 26 at Mershon Auditorium in Columbus.

The next night, Sept. 27, the musicians will put on a show at The Met Philadelphia, followed by their final appearance, slated for Sept. 28 at Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore. The band will once again be joined by The Wolfpack, a string and brass quintet which includes Alex Kelly, Brian Switzer, Adam Theis, Mads Tolling and Sheldon Brown, along with Barry Sless on pedal steel.

Weir’s newly added performances arrive just days after the artist and his Dead & Company bandmates–Chimenti, Mickey Hart, Oteil Burbridge, John Mayer and Jay Lane–closed their Final Tour in San Francisco. Read more
