Cason Wallace reacts to Clippers signing older brother, Keaton, to contract

The Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday announced they signed guard Keaton Wallace to a two-way contract after two seasons with their G League affiliate, the Ontario Clippers.

Wallace, who went undrafted out of UTSA in 2021, is averaging 13.7 points, 4.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals on 39% shooting from 3-point range in 37 games with Ontario this season. He has scored at least 20 points six times, including a season-high 39 points on Jan. 15.

The signing was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The soon-to-be 24-year-old is the older brother of Cason Wallace, who is currently a freshman at Kentucky and is projected to be a lottery pick this year in the NBA draft. Cason offered a great reaction to the signing on Twitter.

Keaton will now have the opportunity to split his time between Ontario and L.A. over the remainder of the season. He is not eligible to play in the playoffs on a two-way contract, but can still develop and be around the team for the postseason.
