Glenville. WV.- Glenville State University released the 2022 football schedule on Friday afternoon. GSU head coach Mike Kellar enters his third season and will start on the road at non-conference opponent Quincy University on Thursday night September 1st. 
 

The season opener will mark the matchup between these two programs. Glenville will start the 2022 campaign with back-to-back road games. The Pioneers will end the two-game road trip at Concord University Saturday, September 10th the first conference game of the season.

The Pioneer's home opener will be week three of the 2022 season against UNC Pembroke. This will be the second time Glenville has faced UNC Pembroke in school history. To end the month of September the Pioneers will travel to Wheeling University Saturday, September 24th.

In week five Glenville returns home to face the Hilltoppers of West Liberty to open up the month of October.

In week six, the Pioneers are back on the road and will face the University of Charleston Saturday, October 8th.

Week seven Glenville State returns to the I.L. & Sue Morris Stadium for Homecoming to face Alderson Broadus in the "I-79 Barrel Classic" on Saturday, October 15th at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 22nd the Pioneers hit the road again facing perineal powerhouse the Notre Dame College Falcons. 

Glenville State will end the month of October against conference foe West Virginia State at home on Saturday, October 29th.

To start the month of November the Pioneers will face rival Fairmont State on the road in the "Battle for the Bit." at 1:00 p.m. Less than ten points have decided the last two matchups between the Pioneers and Falcons.

To end the season Glenville will face the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan on senior night  Saturday, November 12th at 1:00 p.m. In the last five matchups, the Pioneers have a record of 4-1 against the Bobcats.
