Morgan Lily: biography

Lily began her acting and modeling career at an early age. Morgan's most notable role had been at the age of nine in a disaster film 2012. She appeared in the successful movie X-Men: First Class as Young Mystique for which she received substantial positive responses and reviews from fans and viewers. Another notable role had been as Bonnie on the hit series, Shameless.

Early life

Morgan Lily was born on April 11, 2000 in Santa Monica, California, the USA. Her father Andy Gross is best known in America as the actor, Magic Castle member and ventriloquist, and mother April Gross is a housewife. Morgan was raised along with her two sisters Riley Jane Gross and Audrey Lynn Gross and a brother Jordan David Gross.

The actress was named Morgan Lily because her parents couldn’t agree on either Morgan or Lily should be called.

Thanks to her father’s connections in a creative environment, the scouts from a children's modeling agency saw a beautiful girl, similar to an elf, with huge blue eyes, and blessed her for a career in the world of show business. She took the fashion world by storm - all before the age of four. Morgan topped the fashion world appearing in the pages of world-famous fashion magazines like Disney, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Elle and Amica.

Her Sundance debut broke out in 2008 in the comedy-drama film Henry Poole is Here. In this quirky dark comedy, Morgan played Millie Stupek, the girl, who began to talk after touching the image's healing powers. In 2008, he earned a CARE Award of Child Actor Recognition Event.

Another significant Morgan’s movie was the top-rated series Shameless, which was going on screens for three seasons. She played as Bonnie, the school friend of Carl Gallagher (Ethan Cutkosky). Bonnie lives with her seven siblings in a van. At the beginning of the fifth season, Bonnie’s family has gone, so the actress leaves the project.

Morgan loves her work, and the only thing that this young lady can't stand is to finish one or another project after he has become part of the team.

“To leave the set after spending so much time together, making friends, becoming attached to each other and falling in love with all your heart – such things are very complicated," - she admitted.
