Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Paula H1 contributionOur visit took place on a sunny Saturday. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We were delighted to find a wide array of activities available, from seeing the animals to exploring climbing frames and other attractions tailored for kids. The highlight for us was observing the polar bears and the capybaras. The spacious layout of the farm ensured that it never felt overcrowded, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience.
The provision of ample information enhanced our visit, and the opportunity to make a den in the woods was a delightful touch that added to our enjoyment.
However, I do have a few suggestions for improvement. Firstly, it would be beneficial to ensure that visitors are aware of the need for cash, as some refreshment stalls only accept cash payments. Additionally, advising visitors to wear comfortable shoes rather than sandals would help prevent discomfort, especially during prolonged walking and uneven surfaces.
Furthermore, I noticed that there was a scarcity of toilets throughout the premises. The compost toilets, while environmentally friendly, were plagued by flies during our visit, particularly in the summer heat. Providing wood shavings, as our glamping host did, could help mitigate this issue.
Lastly, I would recommend increasing the availability of shaded areas around the children's play zones. This would help protect visitors from excessive sun exposure, especially during hot weather, and reduce the risk of sunburn. Encouraging visitors to apply sunscreen and wear hats would also contribute to their comfort and safety.
Thank you for providing such an enjoyable experience overall. We look forward to visiting Jimmy’s Farm again in the future and witnessing any improvements based on this feedback.Written 13 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I travelled quite a way to see it but it was well worth it. The Premier Inn is only about a 15/20 minute walk away and is a good place to stay. The Ipswich Harbour is well worth a walk around. Lots of nice boats to look at. Lots of coffee shops to choose from. Thank you to all the staff at the Regent Theatre and thank you to Ben A.K.A. Elvis ... you are very good and funny too.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BestestgirlIpswich10 contributionsThis was my third visit to Hilly Ridge Alpacas - I have been on two walks and this time myself and my Niece did the keeper experience. We had the best time and want to go back again already! The whole afternoon was perfect - Jo and her daughter were amazing with us. We loved the alpaca's and cuddling the baby goats. Thank you so much.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Clare056Manchester, UK21 contributionsLovely place, staff all very nice and all the activities incredibly well organised.
We had three visits to the lamb barn and also loved goat, pig and pony grooming.
Probably best to go on bad weather day as suspect gets very busy with long queues in busier periods.
Thanks for great day out.Written 13 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I discovered that Christchurch Mansion was open, and unexpectedly free admission. What a brilliant morning we spent in the mansion. So much to see and a wonderful gallery. The staff (volunteers?) were helpful and knowledgeable. There is a small tearoom (delicious cheese scones) with seating inside as well as in a pretty courtyard. Definitely worth a visit.Written 4 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steve SGrundisburgh15 contributionsThe Wolsey put on 'The Bar at The Edge of Time' - a show aimed at people with learning disabilities. My son was completely engrossed and loved the show. I am so impressed and grateful that The Wolsey ran this production and took the time and no doubt money to put it on. Thankyou so much to everyone involved.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Sorry for the typos...London, UK188 contributionsWe have visited this museum a few times and it’s always great. Today they were open for their Christmas event. The amount of effort that had gone into this was incredible. The lights were beautiful, covering the whole museum, it was like a winter wonderland. There was a treasure hunt for the kids with pictures around to find. Many vehicles were open to look around and we went on a bus ride around the nearby area included in our ticket. The volunteers around the museum, helping people park, checking everyone in, running the children’s hunt, in the cafe, driving/doing bus tickets were lovely. Oh and the lad doing the Christmas music was a great addition! Not to mention all the normal exhibits and great information that goes with them. We love to visit and would recommend to anyone.Written 3 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Shhez EBury St. Edmunds, UK77 contributionsGreat day out today with my nearly 2 year old grandson. He had a wonderful time riding on the push along tractors, the play areas and seeing all the animals. Nice food in the cafe. I can recommend the pork roll. The plants looked amazing and at reasonable prices. Clean and tidy facilities and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks when I hope to have a look round the shop which was well stocked. Lots of picnic tables and places to stop along the trail and not overly expensive to get in at £13 for the three of us. - Marley ElliotLondon, UK23 contributionsI love Ipswich Waterfront. It's a great place to go for a walk, a meal, or a drink, and it's especially beautiful in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the views of the marina and the river Orwell.Written 17 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 810astmIpswich, UK146 contributionsI love this park to take my dog to when the sun is shining. There are ducks, football goal, children playground, seeing wildlife, dog bins and to top it off a lovely and dog friendly coffee shop to end my well deserved coffee and a treat for myself and my dog. Can’t wait for good weather again.Written 18 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
