My first objective is to identify their goals and expectations, hopefully this can be done over the phone or through email. I'm confident I can help any wrestler from elementary through college fine-tune and expand their knowledge from my experiences and success as a wrestler and coach.

Then, depending on their individual goals, I would help them with mental and technique options they can use to reach thir specific goal.

Client Reviews

Steve Carr was my high school coach from 2008-2012 and in that time coach Carr guided me to three appearances in the Minnesota State High School Wrestling Tournament while accumulating over 100 wins in my career. When it was announced that Steve Carr was going to be coaching us, my teammates and I were ecstatic. We knew Coach Carr's reputation of being one of the most technically gifted wrestlers in Minnesota history and he brought that extensive knowledge on technique to practice every day. Many of our wrestlers were younger and did not have much experience in the wrestling room which Coach Carr recognized and tailored our practices so these younger wrestlers would have the opportunity to ask questions, drill technique, and eventually master the moves Coach Carr would teach us. Coach Carr took an interest in each one of us and developed relationships with each of his wrestlers. In short, Steve Carr is one of the best wrestlers in Minnesota history which directly translates to his outstanding ability as a coach. I can honestly say I would have not been the wrestler, or person I am today without the instruction an knowledge I gained from Coach Carr.
Steve Carr is an excellent coach. He was my coach for two years at Mahtomedi High School. In those years, he took an interest in my development as a wrestler and helped break down technique into easily learned steps. Not only did he help break down each move, but every moment on the mat was an opportunity for learning. He took time to show me how one move worked better for a certain situation and worked to make recognition of the situation second nature.
