Kate Middleton Seen Looking 'Happy and Healthy' on Visit to Farm Shop with Prince William: Report

The Princess of Wales reportedly visited the Windsor Farm Shop on Saturday amid her recovery from surgery

Kate Middleton has been seen out and about near her home in Windsor.

On Saturday, the Princess of Wales, 42, paid a visit to the Windsor Farm Shop, which is a mile from her Adelaide Cottage home, according to U.K. newspaper The Sun. The publication reported that onlookers said Kate looked “happy, relaxed and healthy” during the outing, where she was also joined by her husband Prince William

The outing was captured in a video shared by TMZ on Monday. In the clip, Kate, who is dressed down in black leggings and a zip-up pullover, is all smiles as she carries a shopping bag through the parking lot alongside William.

The royal couple also reportedly spent Sunday morning watching their three children — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5 — take part in sporting activities, according to The Sun

The children did not join their parents at the farm shop, however, the outlet added.

“Kate was out shopping with William and she looked happy and she looked well,” an onlooker told the publication.

Kensington Palace and the Windsor Farm Shop both told PEOPLE they had no comment.

The outing is the first time Kate has reportedly been spotted visiting a public place since she had abdominal surgery on Jan. 16

On March 4, the royal was seen in a car with her mom, Carole Middleton, while the following week she and William, 41, were photographed driving from Windsor Castle in the backseat of a car.

PEOPLE understands that Princess Kate was heading to a private appointment when she and Wiliam were photographed.

That appearance came hours after Kate personally apologized for "any confusion" around the photo she released to mark Mother’s Day in the U.K., which has been surrounded by controversy.

"Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused," Kate's message on social media read.

"I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day,” she added, signing the note with a “C” for Catherine.

Following its release, the photo was subsequently pulled by picture and news agencies after claims of editing due to several inconsistencies, including the alignment of Princess Charlotte’s left hand, blurring around Kate’s hair and Prince Louis’ sweater pattern.

Photo experts and royal watchers later discovered at least 16 editing mistakes that proved the image was photoshopped.

Kensington Palace revealed Kate’s surgery in a statement shared on Jan. 17.

"The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery," the statement read. "Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter."

"The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private," the statement continued. "Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share."

According to a new report over the weekend, Princess Kate may speak out about her surgery and recovery when she returns to public duty.

“They are at their most open when out interacting with members of the public and I can see a world in which the princess might discuss her recovery out on engagements," a royal source told The Sunday Times, "If she was going to do it, that’s how she would do it.”
