Evil & Me is a 2008 American-French computer-animated short film from Illumination Entertainment. It was directed by Sergio Pablos, story and written by Michael Wildshill and Sergio Pablos and produced by Chris Meledandri. Featuring new characters from the Despicable Me franchise, the short was released in theaters on October 7, 2008 and December 19, 2008 in front of Universal's The Tale of Despereaux. The short features Steve Carell, Fred Tatasciore, Pierre Coffin, Jack Plotnick, Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett, Julie Andrews, and Tom Kenny reprising their roles from the new 2010 CGI animated film called Despicable Me with Miranda Cosgrove and Jason Segel joining the cast in the film.
The short is a sneak preview of the upcoming first film film Despicable Me, which is releasing in 2010.

The short was released alongside on October 7, 2008 and Universal's The Tale of Despereaux on December 19, 2008 which was the first time an short film out of an Universal property preceded an Universal film since NBCUniversal was bought by Universal's The Tale of Despereaux on Blu-ray on April 7, 2009. This is original in the short's intro showing a paper portrait of Woody Woodpecker before question to Gru, the kid drawing his Woody Woodpecker portrait.
