The Lodge at Jackson Hole presents a rustic charm that captivates many travelers, with its bear-themed decor and cozy fireplaces. Despite some reviews describing the rooms as dark and outdated, cleanliness is a highlight, with well-kept spaces and attentive housekeeping. The staff receives mixed feedback, ranging from commendable to less accommodating service. Amenities like the breakfast and shuttle service are popular, though guests occasionally find the pool overcrowded and the gym underwhelming. Its convenient location is a plus, yet opinions on value for money vary among visitors.

This Lodge at Jackson and Hole was by far the worst place we’ve ever stayed. Pictures on website are deceiving. Rooms unkempt, dirty, service was for the most part terrible. Desk staff rude and unfriendly. We very politely voiced our concerns and dissatisfactions to assistant mgr. He was very accommodating and deducted $100 off our room for all 6 notes during our stay and removed all taxes and service fees. To date we have not seen that credit on our monthly statement. We called to remind the person who answered the phone. She was incorrigible and told us the taxes and service fees were not possible in spite of what the asst. Mgr. promised. We asked her to go ahead and credit the $600 accommodation. She told my wife “Have a nice day,” and hung up on her. Coffee maker in room did not work and they never bothered to respond to our request for a new one. Two dryers in laundry room dysfunctional. Room cleaning service only 3 days during our stay, and each time no towel replacement and bed sloppily made. We were charged $800 per night for this nightmare stay. So be careful with making reservations at The Lodge at Jackson Hole.

We are sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations this trip. Like most of the hotels in Jackson this summer, we are operating on a limited housekeeping stay over service schedule. We perform this service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. We are sorry that this so negatively impacted your opinion of us. We did everything we could to make your stay a pleasant one, including concessions that were offered and accepted, all of which were honored on our end. A great vacation is always a two way street and it's unfortunate that we could not find a willing partner on the other side, in this case.

I’m in hotels around 100 nights a year so rarely impressed but was by the staff and experience this week. Clean big rooms, nice beds, super friendly staff. We enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning before heading out skiing, coming back to relax in hot tub, read the paper by the fire place and enjoyed a drink with the same bartender each night. Small lodge feel with amenities. When it’s time for dinner and nightlife -Shuttle with super friendly drivers always ready.. or within 10 mins, running guests to and from downtown. Walking distance to a few restaurants and some basic supplies. Ski shuttle is the public bus but don’t let that worry you, unlike most places it’s literally stops right outside hotel is clean and runs fast
Now that I’ve experienced Jackon in the winter, I’ll be coming back in the summer for sure and staying here!

Booked through Booking.com. There, nor any other 3rd party website has any indication that the "resort" aspects of the hotel are shutdown completely. The main reason I booked here was because of all the wonderful amenities advertised; however, the breakfast was limited, the pool was closed, hot tub closed, sauna closed, fitness center closed, room service by appointment only. I was given back the $27 per night resort fee, but to me that barely scratches the surface of what was lacking. I would be much more understanding if say the Fitness Center was something you had to book, or pool capacity was limited, etc. When I spoke with the manager, he told me I should have known because, "It's all over the news." You can judge whether I am right or wrong, but I thought that a hotel in Wyoming may have loose restrictions, and that seeing all the amenities advertised on Booking.com with not a single notification of them being closed gave me reason to safely assume I would get a mostly normal experience. Don't get me wrong, the rooms were very nice, and i am sure when it is fully open the entire experience is cool; however, the sheer lack of transparency combined with the passive aggressive attacks from the manager with shallow remorse after waiving the cliche add on "Resort Fee' should give you pause when thinking about booking here. There are better places to stay for much better value.

I personally spoke with you on day two of your three night stay. You came to visit at the height of Covid restrictions pertaining to nearly every service available. At the time, you said that you assumed Wyoming was operating without any restrictions and that we didn't have any cases? You further stated that there were no warnings on the third party site you booked with or on the news? There not only were warnings but there continue to be Covid banners on all of these sites including the one you booked through. In spite of our very low adjusted rates at that time, and against my better judgement, I took off your resort fee's in good faith that we had reached a common ground. You clearly indicated that was a fair settlement and reasonable compromise. Two days after your departure, you called us in an effort to get even more money taken off your reservation. This time with the claim that we should have called you prior to your trip to inform you of Wyoming's Covid restrictions? You further stated that if I did not take off more money that you would disparage us on Trip Advisor. In spite of my interactions with you, I still have faith in humanity.

Family road trip to GTNP.

The positives:
The hotel met our needs. Located about a mile from downtown Jackson. Offered a shuttle service into town. Room was good, indoor/outdoor pool was nice, and full breakfast buffet was included.

The negatives:
Seemed like housekeeping had not finished preparing our room when we arrived - washclothes were sitting on the counter (appearing to be clean but not folded) and towels were missing. When I asked the front desk, I was told that the room showed up as being cleaned on the computer and received extra towels.

Included breakfast buffet was substantial, but not much variation from day to day if you are staying several days (each day was the exact same breakfast, with the exception of a slight variation to the ingredients in the scrambled eggs). Mini fridge in our room would only cool down to 43 degrees, and the safe in our room did not work. Probably the biggest negative for us was the lack of common space. The only outdoor common area is the pool area, which closed along with the pool at 10pm. Indoor common area was limited. I realize space is limited, but this hotel would benefit by creating a more inviting common area for adults to use after 10pm.

I checked into the hotel yesterday and they informed me that even though I'm staying for 3 nights, they will not be able to provide maid services. However, they assured me that if I needed anything, just to call the front desk and they would have it delivered. This morning, I called to get fresh towels and soap/shampoo/conditioner and they told me they could not deliver it to my room. Additionally, when I checked into my room it was missing items such as conditioner.

For spending this much money on a hotel, I would have expected better service. I love Jackson Hole and plan on returning, but will not be staying here.

Thank you for the compliment on our rooms. We are sorry to hear that you were surprised by limited housekeeping stay over service. Most of the properties in Jackson perform this service on a more limited schedule than us. Currently, we have stayover service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. In regard to your delivery of towels and soaps, all of our bell and front desk agents were assisting other guests at the time and provided a reasonable estimate on delivery time. It is unfortunate to be judged so severely because they could not provide these items immediately but we appreciate your expectations. Thank you for your feedback.

We are seasoned travelers staying all over the world and Jackson Hole was our 20th ski town. The Lodge at Jackson Hole was hands down the best stay we have had for the price in all our travels. The resort has equivalent amenities and staff to the hotels we often splurge on then come up disappointed.

Traveling with 6 other people we were still talking about how amazing the hotel was after day 3. The breakfast has everything you need for an action packed day and the complimentary friendly shuttle drivers are packed tips about the town. Additionally, the bus route is right out outside the hotel and take you to the ski hills and a free pass could be obtain at the front desk.

Our room was nothing short of amazing. Clean, spacious, and adequately equipped for our 7 night stay. We used the pool area every day which had a sauna, indoor pool, soaking tub, and outdoor hot tub. Towels were clean and plentiful. On the way back to our room we really valued the Starbucks coffee which is readily available in the lobby free of charge.

The decor of the hotel is well done with open exposed beams and little statues of bears throughout. It really does make you feel like your staying in a little ski lodge complete with fireplace and sitting area in the lobby.

When we return on our next trip to Jackson Hole we will definitely we staying here again. We would not consider staying anywhere else!

This is a very beautiful hotel a short drive from the Jackson Town Square. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the fireplace in our room and all of the historic photos and decor. We also enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. There are also a number of eating options a short walk away and the hotel offers a courtesy shuttle and free parking. Our only complaint is that the daily rate is expensive and while we were expecting that, we were not expecting the additional hotel fee when we checked out. This was disappointing because many amenities were not available. We were disappointed to find the gym closed for renovation and while the bar was open, no food available for dinner. Additionally, while breakfast is free, it opens a bit late for those in the area for hiking at 7 am. We would advise other travelers to check on which amenities are actually available before booking just to make sure when you are paying a lot for a room, you know in advance what is closed and be aware of the extra fee. There were gyms nearby, but we were told there was an extra fee to use them.

Thank you for the compliments about our location, decor, rooms and pool area. We also appreciate your feedback on our breakfast hours, resort fee and fitness room. We are days away from re-opening our fitness room and apologize that its' closure impacted your visit. In regard to breakfast hours, in years past we would open it earlier in the summer months. The town of Jackson is experiencing an unprecedented lack of labor in combination with record travel to our area. Many hotels, restaurants and retail stores have had to adjust hours and days of service just to accommodate the staff they do have. We look forward to resuming many of our traditional offerings and hours if these issues stabilize in the future. Lastly, your hotel fee's we're part of the third party reservation you booked. We are sorry to hear that the company you booked with wasn't more transparent about the portion collected up front and the remainder at the property. We will look into your reservation to investigate their disclosures. We sincerely enjoyed having you stay with us and hope we get the opportunity to see you again, in the future.

Here are the pros: it’s on the main road and accessible. It’s got a nice rustic look and feel, nice pool, nice art work in the hallways, fireplace in the room, hairdryer provided, free shuttle, fantastic breakfast, fridge and microwave

Cons: There was a huge amount of various types of hair and food in the beds (see photos), no towels at the pool (even though they’re supposed to be provided), bundles of hair (like knots of hair with lint) found around the pool, no button or handicap access door to get into the building, the restaurant wasnt even open because they’re short on staff, the Keurig coffee machine didn’t work in our room and was dripping yellow liquid with black specs inside/smelly mold. Absolutely filthy room. Disgusting. The drawers had hairs, food, particles, etc. The floors looked like they had not been vacuumed in weeks and also had food, some plastic trash wrappers, and other particles. The bathroom door handle had no lock on it and wouldn’t work. The lamp shades and lamps were crooked and somewhat bent when we got in our room. About an eighth of an inch a grey dust is accumulating on the top of the headboards of the beds and looks like they haven’t been cleaned in years (see photos attached). They also didn’t provide soap for the bath/shower, and no lotion (like most basic hotels provide), and no plastic laundry bag in the closet. The drain in the shower was completely clogged and filled up as we were waiting for hot water before even getting in the shower. We travel at least 1-2 times a month and I can honestly say I’ve never stayed in a filthier hotel. I’m shocked at how disgusting and unkempt it was, especially for the price I paid. The least a hotel can do, is provide clean sheets and run a quick vacuum through a room before a guest stays. This hotel has a major issue with their housekeeping and they probably need to address it. This wasn’t a room that housekeeping missed. The beds were made; so housekeeping marked this room off as clean.

Thank you for the compliments about our location, decor, pool and included breakfast. We are very sorry that a housekeeping oversight led to such a graphically disappointing review. We truly wish you would have granted us the opportunity to correct this mistake upon check-in with a quick room move but we take full responsibility for your experience. Your room was accidentally marked as clean in our system prior to our routine inspection process. With new seasonal staff members and the introduction of I-pods and electronics in housekeeping it is possible to make a mistake despite our best efforts. Upon receipt of your review we have instituted additional security features on our hand held devices that will limit certain permissions to our inspectors. While this mutual disappointment could have been avoided we welcome the opportunity to improve our inspection process.

Our family had 2 rooms for 5 nights in July. Although the location and rooms were accommodating, the staff was not. We understood that the pandemic caused a staff shortage. Their response to our minimal requests (toilet paper, towels, soap) was frustrating. We ordered an Uber several times because the hotel driver said he was unavailable, although we were never farther than an 8 minute drive; we had last minute plane time changes and very early adventure plans. Their approach caused stress and was not necessary.

I remember speaking with you at the end of your visit. There were three disappointments that you expressed to me at that time. The first involved your reservations. You had booked one room type through our Hotel website and another room type through a third party. Although they were concurrent they were for different lengths of stay. The reason this became a problem, was due to the fact that you wanted to stay in the room that was booked through us for an additional night and cut the third party reservation short. These reservations had two vastly different rates. Unfortunately, room availability, third party rules and cost were not compatible. I offered to work on a compromise with your daughter to take down some of the cost but we didn't communicate effectively with each other. She abruptly got on her phone and walked away from the front desk without confirming how you wanted to proceed. The second issue involved our complimentary shuttle. As with most hotels offering this service, it operates throughout the day but is not "on demand". Our bellman can drive guests anywhere within the town limits and pick them up but they have a number of other responsibilities to our guests. When they are assisting anyone else, the person they are assisting is the priority and there can be wait times for drop off's and pick up's. It is usually under 20 minutes and they do a great job of managing their time. We always let people know, if they have a restaurant reservation or time sensitive appointment, they need to be in the lobby 15 to 20 minutes early or use any of the myriad of other transportation options available in Jackson Hole. These include local taxi's, Uber, Lyft or our very efficient public transportation system that picks up in front of our property. I appreciate that you were upset and felt our bellman should have been able to run some of your family to the airport. As we indicated on our welcome letter and website, we cannot drive there as we are not licensed to perform that service. Lastly, I apologize for our limited stay over service from housekeeping. I appreciate that it requires a little planning ahead and calling the front desk for supplies or to schedule service. There can be wait times that are close to 15 minutes during high volume periods of the day. We are constrained by local Covid regulations and truly do the best we can. I appreciate your feedback and feel we have grown far more efficient as we've continued down this path. I am hopeful that everyone travelling right now is aware of that locales rules and patient with local workers. There are so many more steps to everyone's job in the hospitality industry right now, that no one see's. It is vitally important that everyone is patient and understanding on all sides to ensure a positive experience. Thank you.

We went to The Lodge at Jackson Hole for 5 days with family, including four children (9,8,3,and 6 months) we splurged, and chose the Lodge specifically because it offers an indoor and outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi. We anticipated swimming daily with the children, only to arrive and learn it was closed and would not be repaired at all during our visit. The breakfast buffet was the exact same every morning - it was fine but a little variety would have been nice. House keeping did not come at all during our stay, although they did provide clean towels upon request the day before we left.
The rooms were nice, the lobby by the fire was tiny (4 chairs) and the fireplace (gas) in the back bar/Cafe did not work. On New Year’s Eve, they only had one bar tender, who also was trying to be the waiter, and one person preparing food. (Not nearly enough!) Overall, we had a good trip, but for the price we paid, we expected over the top accommodations, and we’re dissatisfied and disappointed with the service. At the very least they should have emailed to notify guests that the hot tub and pool were not working!

We are very sorry to hear that we didn't meet your expectations this trip. Our pool boiler had been operating at 50% during your stay. In our remote location, especially in the winter, it has been a tremendous challenge to find a competent repair team on short notice. We have had individuals from 3 separate, local companies make multiple attempts to fix it. Each claiming success, only for us to be stuck with the same issue 24 hours later. At 100%, it would take our system roughly 12 hours to get to an optimal temperature. The reason there hasn't been an e-mail or notification is due to the relatively short recovery time once the issue resolved. That being said, we were vigilant in relaying that information to any same day reservations in the interest of full disclosure. Fortunately, we did not have to close our pool. While 72 degrees is not optimal, it is swimmable. Our outdoor hot tub operates off a different system and has been fully functional. In regard to our lounge fireplace, we had a similar issue and had to reach out of state for a repair company with the expertise required to fix it. We appreciate that these unexpected maintenance issues negatively impacted your experience with us and sincerely apologize. If you would like to discuss this further, please DM Jeff via our hotel e-mail. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Thank you for writing, The Lodge at Jackson Hole rooms mainly consist of over-sized showers. The only rooms with a tub / shower combo are double queen rooms in the main wing. If a tub is required please let the Hotel know in advance by phone call or, if booking on-line, in the comments or special request section.
