- Iara Melo60 contributionsNice place. You can definitely spend a hole day walking around there. They make free tours in very specific hours. I recommend checking when there’s one. Tours will be in Chinese, English, Spanish and Korean I think. We took a bus to go there, make sure to use NAVER as your appWritten May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of information about Koreans and the Vietnam war.
Also a lot of information about wars that happen in the 18th/19th century.
Had a great collection of wool equipment and machinery and vehicles.
The outside area is just as great

You can easily spend a couple of hours soaking up the hectic atmosphere while shopping or just browsing.
We never found the area’s famous street food stalls, but we were thrilled to stumble upon the Michelin-praised dumpling restaurant Kyoja, where you can enjoy freshly steamed dumplings, noodle soup, and two other dishes for a small price. Enjoy!Written May 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately for us, it was a rainy day when we visited.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,628 contributionsI noticed it when I got off the Airport Limousine Bus Stop located near it. Hurriedly left my luggage and began my visit. Learned that senior citizens can enter free, just show proof of age. Added to my visit the tour of the Secret Garden, cost was 5,000 won or about $4.
There are several buildings in the compound, all serving different purposes. Note that among the 5 palaces, only this one is a Unesco Heritage Site. Many areas to look at and take photos here.
Secret Garden Tour: can be visited on your own. No need to pay extra 5 k if you just want to see the 4 major areas. With the tour, the English speaking Guide tells about the place, reason for their construction, etc.
Caveat: There are many groups of children having their field trips here. Their noise and running around could be issues for some visitors.
Highly recommended to visit this attraction!Written May 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Beautiful grounds and gardens (and the nearby Family Park is lovely as well), free entry, fully bilingual, fascinating and well-presented exhibits.
Great for kids as well - the robot tour guides seemed to be very popular - and the food court is excellent value for money.
Brilliant way to spend 2-5 hours on a hot day in Seoul!Written May 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - HoadjieGisborne, Australia307 contributionsThere's a fair bit of free parking and they're quite a few toilets and shops in the area.
if you wish to climb up you do have to pay there is a free walking path that gives you a nice view of it I walked up to the top there must have been about 500 steps it took me a bit of time but it was worth it I went as the sun was setting and I was able to see the sun setting on the east side of the island it was worth the walk up the walk down was a lot easier. still a lot of steps but also a lot of section of just down hill path which was nice on the legsWritten May 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You need to be very quiet There are people there to make sure that you stay quiet.
It is a fairly steep hill to climb up. But you do get to see some beautiful homesWritten May 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Simply watching the crowd as I had my coffee break in the area was interesting. There are small alleys where the restaurants, shops, etc are located.
At the main streets, I noted art galleries, spa, hanok shops, 711 stores, etc. Glad that it is near my hotel, no need for bus or metro rides to reach it.Written May 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The group was appreciative with all that you've done and you deserve a raise. Amen.Written April 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - macedonboyGlasgow, UK185,129 contributionsA very photogenic spot where there's a waterside walk along a waterway and runs along a considerable distance. It's pretty both day and night, but best to visit at night when the lights are lit up against the dark backdrop.Written May 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - merc8989kuala lumpur1,173 contributionsLong stretch of beach and perfect for a stroll on a cooling day. Quiet on a weekday morning.
There was a sand castle competition with several castles being built.
Walked all the way to the coastal blue train station at Mipo.Written May 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
