      Critics Consensus

Simon & Simon benefits from not taking itself seriously, but its devotion to tried-and-true formula yields a painless hour with minimal personality.

John J. O'Connor New York Times She poutingly asks the irrepressible brothers, ''Couldn't we go someplace and have some fun?'' Maybe they could find another action comedy. Jul 10, 2021 Full Review Jacqueline Lee Lewes Sydney Morning Herald Simon & Simon is one of the more likable private eye series to come out of America ia recent years, probably because It doesn't take itself too seriously. Jul 10, 2021 Full Review James Nixon Sydney Morning Herald To be truthful, Simon & Simon is one of the best examples of this style of television, although that's not saying much. It blends a humour reminiscent of The Sting and good old down-to-earth mom's apple-pie American violence. Jul 10, 2021 Full Review Cynthia Robins San Francisco Examiner The exchanges between the two, played by Jameson Parker and Gerland McRaney, are inane. The pilot was a stinker; the show isn't given much hope. Jul 13, 2021 Full Review Stuart D. Bykofsky Philadelphia Daily News No point scrutinizing this gossamer show too closely because it's obvious that no one is supposed to take it seriously. Jul 10, 2021 Full Review Win Fanning Pittsburgh Post-Gazette An extremely dull hour. Jul 10, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
