- jethro123507London, UK19 contributionsLovely art gallery (it's massive), and it's free! You can get there by bus if you want (i did), then there's a free tram thing that takes you up the hill to the centre. There are 5 or 6 buildings full of art, some of it fantastic. You could easily spend 5 or 6 hours hereWritten 29 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- elaine d1 contributionThe ship is very well maintained and the tour guide was able to answer all questions.
the museum area is interesting and history is well researchedWritten 23 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. To see some of these priceless vehicles in person is a thrill and exciting. We happened to be at the museum the day IndyCar driver Pato O'Ward (he was in town for the Long Beach Grand Prix) was discussing his life and career to an assembly of school children. This is the type of exceptional programming available at the museum on a routine basis. This museum is a not-to-miss place in Los Angeles for locals and visitors alike.Written 9 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - iancarpyMilton Keynes, UK169 contributionsGreat arena to watch basketball - and as a bonus Lakers won! Had access to the AmEx Centurion Lounge that was cool - 2 free drinks and somewhere to relax before the game. Would love to return next time we are in LAWritten 19 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KodajaceShepparton, Australia7 contributionsThe only nice thing to see in Hollywood. That way you can look up to the sky instead of at all of the litter and homeless on the ground.
It's pretty iconic and majestic and you can get perfect views from Hollywood Highland, North Beachwood Drive and Lake Hollywood Park. I definitely suggest Lake Hollywood Park if you want a perfect shot up close where you can fit all of the letters in without them looking so far away in the distance. You'll get a bit of a view on Sunset Blvd but it may be obstructed by buildingsWritten 9 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Parking was $15 and paid by ticketed machine at entrance and exit.
Science Center was surprisingly big given the free price tag. Lots of interesting exhibits throughout...thoughtfully organized by region/category.
I particularly enjoyed the space area which had a space shuttle simulator ($6).
There is a wonderful children's area with lots of puzzles and activities for younger ones. This includes an outdoor area with a play area. Really appreicated having this available for our 4-year old.
Great way to spend a few hours. We both agreed that the overall experience exceeded our expectations and the museum was truly a highlight. We are not big museum people but the exhibits in this museum are interesting and engaging. The museum volunteers roam the exhibits and offer additional insights which are helpful and round out the experience. We also enjoyed seeing the fossil lab and watching actual fossil cleaning work in process. The outside exhibits were helpful in increasing our understanding of the nature and composition of the area and added to the realness of the overall visit. We definitely recommend stopping by for a visit. The museum parking lot is convenient although certainly a bit pricey.Written 16 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy MCompton, CA195 contributionsReally nice walk with a Meetup Group. I think total we walked almost 6 miles. One of the group members knew little tidbits about the park, so it made it a better walk. The trail is moderately challenging since there are parts that are either a steep incline or decline (my foot slid a couple of times). However, I think about half of our steps were fairly level and path was very pretty clear. I felt like my tennis shoes were adequate. There was also a couple of water points and picnic areas. There were definitely some incredible views of LA and even the hillside was very lovely. Looking forward to next hike.Written 1 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JCW703Jerusalem District, Israel3,041 contributionsThe kids love the music sync'd fountain and stood there enthralled by it. Some of the shops are run-of-the-mill mall fare such as Banana Republic, Apple Store, etc, but there are some local, unique finds as well. Plenty of places to eat as well.Written 11 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
