Forest Hills High School Reviews
Rating 3.78 out of 5 955 reviews
Forest Hills may seem like a typical high school, however, my two years here have been well. I've met many amazing teachers who only want the best for you. When I look around me, my peers are very diverse. Everyone sitting next to me is some different race/ethnicity and I get to hear/learn about other countries I have not heard about. Forest Hills has many clubs to offer, and if you don't have a club you "apply" to, you can make your own! Being in clubs helps you bond and meet new friends/people you never thought you'd talk to. Every year, different subjects offer resources like textbooks for you to take home and study on your own time.
I had an okay experience. I was in the drama academy, where I met some of the best teachers I’ve ever had. As far as my other classes, some teachers showed more effort than others. I feel indifferent about the safety at this school because although it may be located in a good neighborhood, it has been known that this school receives threats and fights occur in school occasionally. I’ve observed that this school puts more efforts into improving their science and math academies, but the arts programs at this school are good too.
When I have first entered this school, I was amazed on how big it was and I even started to panic as I was late to my first class. Overtime, adapting to the school I realize that it isn't all so glamorous and amazing. Some of the kids hurt one another for no reason and to make a "reputation". Whilst others, berate one another to gain giggles and laughs. Overall my experience was not so bad due to making friends and not being involved in any drama.
