NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils made their second trade with the Winnipeg Jets on Friday afternoon.

TSN's Darren Dreger was the first to report that veteran defenseman Colin Miller was being moved to the Jets. The news came hours after New Jersey sent Tyler Toffoli to Winnipeg.

The Devils received a fourth-round draft pick in the 2026 NHL Draft for the 31-year-old blueliner.

On July 1, 2023, the Dallas Stars traded Miller to New Jersey for a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

He has appeared in 41 games and has eight points (four goals, four assists). He predominately made up the team's third defensive pair and spent a lot of time playing with rookie defenseman Luke Hughes

Before coming to New Jersey, Miller previously played for the Boston Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights, Buffalo Sabres, and Stars.

The Jets are second in the Central Division with a record of 39-17-5 and 83 points. Led by goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, Winnipeg is gearing up for a run to the Stanley Cup Final.

Miller and Toffoli will return to Prudential Center on March 21, when the Devils host the Jets.
