Director Min Yeon Hong is leading The Impossible Heir troupe. He has previously worked on hits like Missing: The Other Side and Missing: The Other Side Season 2 (2022). The hit thrillers have become a touchstone for Director Min Yeon Hong and The Impossible Heir, being on similar lines, is anticipated to be another one of his thriller hits. 

WRITER – Choi Won

Choi Won is a south Korean screenwriter known for a works like Baby and I starring Jang Geun-suk and the 2017 thriller Miss Butcher. Choi Won is returning to the kdrama scene after 7 years with The Impossible Heir.


MAIN CAST

Lee Jae Wook as Han Tae-oh

Lee Jae-wook is an extremely sought after actor in the Korean entertainment scene who has time and again displayed his exceptional acting prowess. From his debut as Marco Han in Memories of Alhambra where even with a support role, he made his presence known to the adorable Seol Ji-hwan in Search WWW, misunderstood antagonist Baek-kyung in Extraordinary You that made us root for an unlikeable character to his recent and one of most memorable role as Jang Uk in Alchemy of Souls, Lee Jae Wook is delivering hits after hits.

So, we anticipate another great performance in The Impossible Heir as the smart Tae-oh, plagued by his father’s criminal background, who devises a strategy to get him and his friend reach the top of the social ladder in The Impossible Heir.


Lee Jun Young as Kang In-ha

Lee Jun Young popularly known as Jun is a former kpop artist and was part of groups UNB and U-KISS before focusing solely on his acting career. His puppy dog charms and his great acting range has win him high-profile roles across the genre spectrum.

His acting hits include Avengers Social Club, Class of Lies, Backstreet Rookie, Imitation, May I Help You, D.P. season 1 and 2, Mask Girl and more. He has also appeared in popular films like Love and Leashes, Brave Citizen and the recent action film Badland Hunters. 

In The Impossible Heir, he assumes the role of an illegitimate child brought up in poverty who is determined to get recognition from his wealthy father all the while trying to get his part in the Kang conglomerate.


Hong Su Zu as Na Hye-won

Hong Su Zu, before her big break in Lovestruck in the City as actress Hae Na, appeared in many MVs of k-pop idols like Exo’s Chanyeol (SSFW) and Henry (I LUV U). She also bagged a guest role as Jin A in the popular thriller Sweet Home. 

In the Impossible Heir she assumes the role of a debt stricken Na Hye Won, who’s parents debt crisis has a connection with the Kang Oh group and she wants revenge. 


OTHER CAST

Lee Ji Hoon as Kang Sung Joo 

Lee Ji Hoon is a remarkable Korean actor who has had a long list of memorable support roles from School 2013, The Legend of the Blue Sea, the Hymn of Death, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung and more. He is also known for his main roles in Go Ho’s Starry Night, Your House Helper and River Where the Moon Rises.

Recently, he has appeared as a playwright in the k-drama special ‘Grand Shining Hotel‘. In The Impossible Heir, he appears as Chairman Kang’s second son and In-ha’s older half-brother. 


Choi Jin Ho as Kang Jung Mo

Choi Jin Ho is a veteran actor in the Korean entertainment universe as has a long list of renowned and memorable support roles in popular kdramas like Escape of the Seven, See You in My 19th Life, Beyond Evil, Dr. Romantic season 2, Extraordinary You, Search:WWW and many more.

In The Impossible Heir, he takes on the role of Kang Jung Mo, the chairman of the leading and powerful Kang-oh group.
