This was the segment where we learned that Sona was having interns get her lunch by pretending it was for Conan. Also, that she had interns pick up her car she'd left behind after a night of drinking, also by pretending it was Conan's.
and she just leaves, saying 'I gotta go' while Conan is trying to dress her down lol
I nearly died laughing the first time I watched this when Conan said “There’s medication for what you have.”

Honestly of the old guard of comedians I think his material has aged incredibly well. He seems to genuinely care about other people and tries not to punch down. Some stuff like that definitely slips through, but for being a 60-year-old white man who went to Harvard and got famous in the 80s he could be far far worse.
Some of his stuff rubs me the wrong way but I think he does well overall when it comes to being socially conscious.
I'm not a fan of the old schtick he'd do about being pervy and weird around women. but even then he was still the butt of the joke
Yeah that definitely came to mind for stuff that rubs me the wrong way. But it's definitely telling that there have never been any kind of sexual harassment or misconduct accusations against him. It seems like all the women he's done that weird barking thing to were in on the joke. It's definitely something that betrays his age and the era of comedy he comes from.
Though I guess being pervy can absolutely be a brand of comedy. Grant O'Brien from college humour comes to mind.
Edit: It is baffling to me that my comment above got upvoted and this one got downvoted. They essentially say the same thing but I just got more specific here. Reddit is weird.
Wait so you get offended by that but none of his other things he makes fun of? Dude get over it
it is when you can take a joke of what you have that means you are totally over it.
i get where you’re coming from but ig comedy is subjective, and what you find funny others might not, and vice versa ¯_(ツ)_/¯
"Forget the sugar packets!!!"
they're kind of askew right now
Glasses has some good comedy chops
The secret to doing a bit with Conan is almost never match his energy, in fact be the opposite.
I would be a horrible remote interviewee. I would either be A) trying to joke with him (and probably failing) or B) laughing hysterically
She’s either a comic genius or on the spectrum. Or probably both now that I think on it.
OMG I was coworkers with her for a few years. This video made the rounds when she got hired. She’s super awesome and obviously has a great sense of humor!
Yup, and I hired her because the video was so damn funny. She still cracks me up daily. Glasses girl FTW!
tell her we all love her
Will do! Want me to ask her to sign some sugar packets for you?
.....yes
Was she doing a bit here or is she naturally like this?
It’s a bit for sure but she’s a natural
I'M HAVIN' AN ORGASM!
WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING ME?
POLICE
End of the line🫵
Pencil-Guy also
Where is she and why is she not working for Conan right now?
She might be John Krasinski, double undercover.
“There’s medication for what you have.” Dead. Every time.
“And they do it for free” what the hell? I understand they’re gaining experience and getting a big resume name but they’re still well studied passionate workers. At least give them pity pay
It might have changed now, but unpaid internships in the entertainment industry were extremely common up until fairly recently (I was a film student who applied for a Conan internship (did not get it)). The tradeoff is that you're getting college credit, you're not technically allowed to do 'actual work' and it would usually be part of the requirements of your major.
Yeah I interned at a network back in 2010 and we went in expecting to not be paid, but they surprised us with minimum wage on our first day. We were shocked and were some of the only other people we knew to get paid.
I just assumed he was joking
Another one of the women in this segment (standing next to Conan at the start of the talk with the interns) shows up in a couple other videos.
I think she is “the hr lady” in the segment with him and Sona, and she is also in the bit where he goes around asking everyone who should be fired. Poor Jordan.
She wasn't the hr lady at all, but she did do the "fire staff" bit. She got a job after her internship
Are you sure she isn’t the same person? Now I can’t decide. Maybe they’re just very similar.
https://youtu.be/n-CzwR9bDA4
Definitely someone else.
The intern was promoted to monologue assistant in the performance review segment here, and Conan calls her Danielle.
The HR lady is called either Blaire or Claire at the beginning of the other segment.
Just to be clear, I did not go out of my way to find this-- just happened to be watching Conan clips and the videos were back to back.
Yes, that woman is in her 40s, The intern is early 20s. And they have different faces.
I remember just dying laughing at the performance review bit when he’s walking and knocking everything over. Just an super dick move, so good.
Her name is Danielle Weisberg. She had a podcast that didn’t get many listens so I think she got rid of it. I follow her on Instagram, she’s still trying to make it as a writer/performer.
Aw that’s kind of sad. Over a decade since this segment aired, which probably gave her the largest audience she’ll ever get, and she’s still not able to punch through. It’s a tough business man I feel bad
Yeah. I also notice she still brings up her mostly silent Conan appearances from a while back. Which see jokes about in a self aware way on her stories. So, it feels like those appearances were her peak.
She wrote for the Simpsons for a bit.
That’s Danielle Weisberg (wearing gray sweater). She was his assistant when he did the performance reviews. She went on to become a TV writer.
I will drop everything to watch this, every time
Love seeing reposts of these old segments, always heartwarming to revisit :)
"Theres medication for what you have" is a line I like to use on my friends and it always gets a laugh. I didn't know I subconsciously have been using a conan line lmao
His height perhaps? What is he, 17 feet tall?
I have summer interns in my office, this clip just reminded me to make sure I mess with them.
This was amazing.
I wonder where she is now every few months
LOL I loved his remote segments. Always gold.

Can confirm they were all interns - no actors casted in these segments (worked on the show)
My college use to supply the Conan TBS show with interns, for the most part they are just nervous kids trying to get some real world experience.
Are the interns actually unpaid?
I’d imagine most of his interns were actors and comedians
But the question is, were they interns first or actors/comedians first? So many actors/comedians got their start as an intern for Conan, it's hard to tell nowadays who had what first lol
You can be an intern and an actor/comedian at the same time.
I’d imagine the latter, it’s just that they aren’t successful until after.
Yeah, I don't think any intern considers themselves an intern first. They want a career in "Hollywood" and use the internship as a foot in the door.
that's interesting, I strongly suspected she was. just a bit too perfect, plus she never laughs at anything at any point. still a classic bit though
I would take glasses woman over Sona any day of the week.
She is the literal cutest. Anyone know her name?
Hello! Was this woman a actor or was it real"?
