So the main album "Fatal Mistakes" came out in 2021. I was so excited to hear a new record, and then I heard a depressing album that didn't have that morose beauty the band had mastered in the past.
Then, they release a 5-track out-take EP from that record, and I missed it altogether. Then they expanded it to 10 tracks. That is this album, "Fatal Mistakes: Outtakes & B-Sides."
It is very clear to me that this 10-song set is far superior to the main release, and I have no idea why these tracks were scuttled for the others. At this point, my review appears to be the first, and buyers have seemed to be confused, and/or not enthused after the main release. Time will tell I suppose, but this one is worth getting for sure.

Don't often post reviews but need to contradict the poster saying that fatal mistakes is a disappointing Gloom fest. Not sure what band you remembered, but it's the same band cranking out those passionate tunes, close your eyes and think of England an unbelievable political song with each line rich in poetic intention, musicians and beer with its timeless jolt of Rock Energy and cheeky multi-generational humor, missing person the quintessential EveryMan Del song with a Melody too strong to be depressing, nation of caners, could be taught in a 21st century poetry class as a true broadside for our times. I have heard most of this new collection of besides and the quality level remains consistent. Look at all of the five-star reviews of fatal mistakes and disregard those who want another roll to me you can hear in your local supermarket

There is nothing B-side about this record. The level of quality this band puts forth on every record is something rarely found anymore. There may not be any pop hits on either of their last 2 albums but the writing and musicianship is TOP NOTCH AS USUAL from Del Amitri.

5.0 out of 5 stars The album I wanted Fatal Mistakes to be
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 6, 2023
I was so excited about Fatal Mistakes but felt it was nothing more than a depressing Justin Currie album. This, this on the other hand is sublime! Everything I hoped Fatal Mistakes could have been. Lips of London is a highlight and the rest doesn't disappoint.

You owe yourselves a listen if you value classic Del Amitri.

1.0 out of 5 stars 新譜購入するに値しないアルバムだと思います。

以前購入した「twisted」、「some others sucker’s parade」や「can you do me good ?」
