- Euan m3 contributionsTook a trip to the Steinbeck house after visiting the Steinbeck centre. Staffed by volunteers who could not have been more helpful. Very informative and passing on lovely little anecdotes from other Steinbeck family members or neighbours of the family. Well worth a visit. Not even a five minute walk from the Steinbeck centre. We ate there too. Very good food served quickly.Written April 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mark WSalinas, CA4 contributionsThis is the greatest race track in the best area of California! A must visit location. The world famous “ Corkscrew “ is a great place to watch from. - Bucketrider20 contributionsWhat a fabulous museum! Outside of the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial (Which is much more than a museum) this is the best museum we have visited. Very interactive. Multiple sensory experience. Staff was extremely helpful & offered their time. So many original artifacts!
I was so inspired by the exhibits I bought a couple books in the bookstore.Written March 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sharalynnc20164 contributionsNice clean small zoo, animals are all well cared for and the facility is well maintained. It is sad that there are too many animals that don't have play mates.Written May 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lapisich21 contributionsFun filled viewing of a big variety of local artists' works. I love supporting these local artist owned and artist operated cooperatives. Pieces include: Plein Air valley and Peninsula scenes, seascapes, amazingly crafted felt animals, unique and expertly rendered jewelry pieces, hand made greeting cards, ceramic pieces, big burl wood bowls and more. The prices for this original art is very reasonable - start your own personal collection, I have! There's also a section in the gallery which has unframed pieces and prints which are especially reasonably priced. And, while you're there, you can meet and speak with one of the local resident artists as they mind the gallery on a rotating basis.Written March 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rmd802Toledo, OH7 contributionsVentana Wildlife Society is a wonderful organization that is dedicated to preserving and protecting Endangered Species, specifically the California Condors. Everyone at this organization is wonderful and super knowledgeable and friendly. I did one of their tours and my daughter participated in one of their camps for kids. My daughter had such a wonderful time. She learned so much. She got to camp in this beautiful mountainside, help with research for the Condors, meet some of their Wildlife Biologist and learn about these magnificent creatures. My daughter really loves Endangered species and wants to study Wildlife Biology one day so this camp really touched her heart. Alena who led the camp was super organized and made sure the kids really had a great time. While my daughter was at camp, I did a tour with Kristy and learned a lot about these amazing birds. Educational programs like these really make you appreciate the treasures of creation that God blesses us with everyday. I'm so glad there are organizations like Ventana Wildlife that truly make a difference in this world!!!Written July 31, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
