Travel advice

Party of 5, 2 adults and 3 children 6-14yo.

Arriving into Haneda. It looks like taking the airport limo is best option or would getting a taxi better for the 5 of us to get to hyatt regency tokyo? Might need van taxi? Does airport limo bus even stop at the regency?

Going to Sanyo-so, should i reserve seats for the train for the roundtrip a day or two before? It’s abt 2-3 hr train ride?

I want to check out costco. What is the most convenient but cost effective way to get there for 5? Taxi or bus? I’ll be using google map but think it might be too confusing if there are multiple bus transfers.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

“Airport Limousine Bus is available between Haneda Airport and our hotel. Total 60-80 minutes.”

Catching flight from haneda to hong kong at 9:55am, doesn’t look like there are limo bus available before 9:20am. What alternatives do i have to get to airport?

Get a taxi to Shinjuku and use the Yamanote Line to Shinagawa and change to Keikyu Line unless you get an Alphard or two taxis to the airport.

Can't you try to use Google or Yahoo before you ask all the questions?

Select "From AP." Select "Arrival Location." Select "Shinjuku." Select "Hyatt Regency Tokyo." Yes, the limousine bus stops at the Hyatt Regency. It's a major hotel.

Where is Sanyo-so? What city?

Catching the flight from Haneda to Hong Kong at 9:55 am. You need to be at the airport 2-3 hours before your flight. That would be by 7:30-ish. Leave by 6:30. Take a taxi. Maybe take 2. Only 4 passengers in a regular taxi. You can get the airport flat fare. You are in Shinjuku-ku. ¥8,300 plus tolls. https://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/haneda-airport/taxi.html

Or hire a private van. They have 5 seaters. https://narita.airport-taxi.soushin-ichiba.jp/en/tokyo-haneda_price/tokyo/shinjuku-ku

If you're going to board Odorikogo you need to book tickets in advance because they don't have non-reserved seats.

About COSTCO, I think the closest might be Makuhari. Would you like to travel an hour one way?

I would recommend checking Don Quioxte or a local supermarket instead.

If you use the Uber App, you can book Alphard with a taxi company if you putting the number of PAX.

Your closest COSTCO is in Kawasaki. But Makuhari might be fun as it's in an AEON shopping mall.

Yes, many transfers if you go by public transportation. COSTCOs are located in the suburbs. Most customers drive there.

Thanks for all the responses. I’ve researched and just trying to get some alternatives mode of transportation options. Sounds like i’ll need two taxi to the airport, but i will look into the van option. Not familiar with the ride-share app like uber equivalent in japan but sounds like there is, so I’ll check it out. Would rather pay more for van and all in one vehicle.

Last time we didn't reserve the limo bus from airport, sounds like it’ll be wise to do it this trip.

Sanyo so is at 270, Mamanoue, Izunokuni-shi Shizuoka 410-2204 Japan. It’s abt 2.5 hrs and there are many methods based on google map. They all involve multiple transfers so im no sure which is the most direct or convenient way. With the transfers, do you think I could or should reserve those seats? I did a similar trip in oaska to onsen, and needed reservations, but it was one train ride and not multiple transfers.

Thanks for all sharing opinion to make it easier to navigate.

Van (wagon) taxi. https://www.nihon-kotsu-taxi.jp/en/

There are two main apps. Go Taxi and S.Ride. Uber contacts a taxi company.
