The Mentalist paid tribute to the late Danielle Aranda, a cancer patient who died of leukemia in 2004. The show dedicated an entire hour-long episode on her life and death as well as raised money for research into finding a cure for ailments like hers.
Danielle Aranda is an American actress who was born on January 9, 1971. She has been in a lot of TV shows and movies including the Mentalist episode that aired on 1/28/2016.

Danielle was a Warner Bros. Studios employee. The Mentalist is shot here. Her father also worked there, and her death occurred around the holidays, which was a very terrible period. She was well-known by everyone, and she will be much missed.

God rest her soul… I think the Mentalist PR staff ought to create a page in her memory that tells us her accomplishments and how she touched their lives. The Danielle Aranda I found on LinkedIn says that she is from San Antonio, TX and is a Coordinator for weddings and events; she also looks like the actress on the tennis court. Maybe it was a bucket list and she did both!

Danielle Aranda, an 18-year-old girl with Down syndrome who enjoys music, dancing, and Mentalist star Simon Baker, I learned. Simon Baker (an ex-patriot Australian) seems to be just as lovely a person as the role he portrays, as he orchestrated this homage, which rewarded her and her family for their dedication to him.

After the program aired, I went looking for her and found a link to a page where she had images of Simon Baker from the show as well as other individuals. I was shocked that no one had asked about her. It’s quite sad if it’s “in recollection.”
