The Warrensburg Schools Foundation announced the Fall 2023 Dual Credit Scholarship recipients.

Foundation Executive Director Judy Long, Board President Bob Lotspeich, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Ritter traveled to Warrensburg High School on Thursday, Sept. 21 to award Dual Credit Scholarships to 17 students totaling $4,692.

Funds used to grant Dual Credit Scholarships are made possible by donations from the Warrensburg R-VI faculty and staff through the employee donor program and donors of the Foundation. Due to the large number of applicants this semester, additional funds were provided by way of the Alex S. Nassif Fund.

To date and together, the Foundation and its supporters have granted $68,303.51 in Dual Credit Scholarships since 2013. Dual credit classes are courses taught to high school students, by college-approved high school instructors, for which students receive both college and high school credit.

Students receiving Dual Credit Scholarships for the Fall 2023 semester are Gracie Bryant, Kameron Dick, Kaylin Evans, Sydney Evans, Keaton Frey, Addison Gillogly, Anaya Iseri, Avenelle Kientzy, Ryan Munsterman, Maggie Parsons, Anthony Rehn, Jayme Rich, Coalten Sederberg, Jordyn Tarr, Maelynn Whitworth, and Elijah Williams.

The Warrensburg Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides financial resources to stimulate learning opportunities for students, teachers and other staff members beyond the scope of the Warrensburg R-VI School District’s regular budget.
