Chris Brigham Obituary

CHRIS BRIGHAM - Newell William "Chris" Brigham, III, age 61, of Tupelo, MS, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away September 13, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center of Tupelo. A memorial service will be Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Columbus with Rev. Anne Harris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brigham was born December 25, 1956, in Columbus, MS, to the late Newell William and Billie Leggett Brigham, Jr. He was a graduate of Heritage Academy and attended Ole Miss where he was a Sigma Chi, and later graduated from MUW. Mr. Brigham was an appraiser and real estate broker while living in Columbus. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Columbus Rotary Club and Main Street Columbus. He later moved to Tupelo where he was Chief Appraiser and Chief Environmental Officer at BancorpSouth. Mr. Brigham served on the Mississippi Real Estate Commission and was a member of The Appraisal Institute. He was a Certified USPAP Instructor and was an Adjunct Appraisal Instructor at Mississippi State. He was a member of the North Mississippi Emmaus Community and enjoyed golf, the outdoors, and Ole Miss Athletics.

Survivors include his wife, Karol Crowder Brigham, daughter, Kelly Elizabeth Brigham, sons, Barton Manship Brigham and Peyton Brooks Brigham, sister, Lee Brigham Aylward (Don) and nephews Andrew Brigham Alyward (Sarah) and Francis Benedict Aiyward (Christy).
