Two Saudi Arabian clubs are offering Benjamin Šeško an unprecedented 30 million euros per year, making it a tempting proposition for the Slovenian striker.
Benjamin Šeško is being pursued by two clubs from Saudi Arabia, offering financial terms unparalleled in the career of any Slovenian footballer. After a brief rest following his debut season with RB Leipzig, where he finished strong with goals in seven consecutive matches, Šeško is gearing up for his first European Championship.
Interest in Šeško is high, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and AC Milan all reportedly interested. Media in Slovenia, Germany, Italy, and the UK have been extensively covering this. Leipzig is prepared to offer him a new, improved contract with a key role in the team to keep him for at least another season.
However, the Slovenian striker is currently focused on recovering for upcoming national team challenges and is not overly influenced by the rumors.
New information reveals another option: Saudi Arabia. Clubs from this wealthy country have shown interest in top players from Europe, and their interest in Šeško is serious. Al Hilal, home to Euro 2024 opponents Aleksandar Mitrović and Sergej Milinković-Savić, can offer financial terms unmatched by any European club. Even more interested is Al Ahli, coached by Šeško's former Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle, and home to Riyad Mahrez.
Saudi clubs are offering between 25 to 30 million euros annually, plus a significant bonus of 20 million euros.
Decision before the Euros
According to sources close to the player, Šeško has not yet decided on his future. He has several options, from staying at Leipzig to moving to a top Premier League club. Moving to Saudi Arabia is currently the least likely option as the young striker aims to build his career step by step.
Nonetheless, the Saudi clubs are playing their strongest card: phenomenal financial terms. Their offers are so attractive that it is hard to remain indifferent, even for a player focused on career goals and sports objectives.
