On May 10, 2024, Queen Mathilde of Belgium participated in the 5th edition of the AG Belgian Coast Walk event in De Panne. The event is held as a walk on the coast through dunes, beaches, harbors and forests. The Queen walked a distance of 25 km between Westende and De Panne. AG Insurance wants to encourage people to exercise regularly in all of its forms, sporting, recreational and simply functional in everyday life.
Queen Mathilde is looking very good in her sports gear. I think she needs sometimes to do long walks in nature to relax mentally and physically.

She seems average height when not wearing heels
ReplyDeleteHeels or no heels, she is a tall woman. In Belgium when I look around me, all the young people are tall. My grandson is 15 years old and he is the tallest boy (man) in our family.

Nice to see Queen Mathilde out enjoying time with her friends (read elsewhere that she was with some friends). I feel badly for her that she was unable to have some private time doing something she obviously enjoys without the cameras following her. However, she is smiling so she must still be having a good time.

DeleteThe camera's were there because it is a sports event. The participation of Queen Mathilde was not announced. Of course she was recognized immediately by the photographers. She was indeed there with some friends, but I am convinced that a part of these friends were her body guards. The same phenomena took place when she did a part of the road to Compostela this year. Queen Mathilde was in the company of King Philippe and some friends but their bodyguards were also present.
