Thanks to the recent influx of new anime on Netflix, we’ve compiled a list of what we feel are the top 15 anime shows available to watch on Netflix.
We’ve chosen anime that are listed as Netflix Original titles, plus we’ve also picked plenty that are licensed to the service on a non-exclusive basis. The Seven Deadly Sins

The first exclusively licensed Netflix Original anime, The Seven Deadly Sins, was a smash hit for the streaming service. Even the significant dip in animation quality for a season or two didn’t stop fans from loving the anime.
When a coup d’état led by Holy Knights leads to the capture of her father, the King of Liones, Princess Elizabeth seeks out the help of The Seven Deadly Sins, a powerful group of exiled Holy Knights.
My Hero Academia

One of the few anime we may prefer being watched in the English dub, My Hero Academia is easily one of the most popular anime available in the world right now.
Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless student in a world filled with superpowered beings, is chosen by his hero, All Might, to become his successor. Given a portion of All Might’s power, Midoriya enrolls at U.A High School, a prestigious school for developing the next generation of superheroes.
Dr. Stone

Since its debut in 2019, Dr. Stone has been one of the most in-demand anime shows for Netflix subscribers. A second season just arrived on Netflix, so there’s no better time to binge on Dr. Stone than now.
Taiju Oki is a typical high student, but his friend Senku Isigami is obsessed and adores science. When Taiju attempts to confess his feelings for classmate Yuzuriha Ogawa, disaster strikes, and a blinding flash of light seen around the world petrifies humanity. While trapped in stone for 3700 years, Taiju and Senku willed themselves to remain conscious and awake in a world covered in stone.
Blood of Zeus

Castlevania

Kickstarting the Powerhouse Animation revolution on Netflix, Castlevania is an incredible testament to one of the oldest and most beloved video game franchises in Capcom history.
After the murder of his wife, the great vampire Dracula gives the nation of Wallachia one year to prepare for his wrath. On the fated day, Dracula’s horde of monstrosities is unleashed on Wallachia, where it’s up to disgraced monster hunter Trevor Belmont, the sorceress Sypha Belnades, and the Dhampire Alucard.
Haikyuu!!

One of the best of the sports genre, Haikyuu, was inspirational for those in real life, and scores of young fans tried out or formed their own volleyball teams. A sports anime with a shônen edge, Haikyuu is simply superb.
Despite his small stature, Shoyo Hinata dreams of playing volleyball. Following in the footsteps of “the small giant,” the player who inspired his love for volleyball, Shoyo joins Karasuno High School’s volleyball team. He crosses paths with Tobio Kageyama, the genius setter and “King of the Court.”
Naruto

One of the “big three,” the Naruto franchise has been one of the most dominant stories of the shônen genre since its debut in 2002. Filler aside, Naruto is one of the best anime of the 2000s.
The naughty ninja Naruto dreams of one day becoming the Hokage, the village’s leader and most powerful member. However, Naruto must contend with his rival, Sasuke, a ninja with tremendous potential.
Vinland Saga

Thanks to impressive visuals and its fantastic story, Vinland Saga was one of the most popular seinen anime of 2019. The wait for a second season was long, but fans were rewarded for their patience as season two aired its episodes weekly on Netflix throughout 2023.
The Vinland Saga takes place at the height of Viking power in Europe, chronicling the rise of King Cnut the Great’s ascendency to the English throne and his North Sea Empire. Meanwhile, young Thorfinn, an Icelandic explorer, serves under a group of mercenaries responsible for the murder of his father for the sole purpose of enacting his revenge against them. But Thorfinn’s true dream is to sail across the sea and find the paradise of Vinland.
Hunter X Hunter

You’ll be hard-pressed to find more passionate anime fans than that of Hunter X Hunter. On the surface, you would never expect Hunter X Hunter to be one of the most brutal of the shônen genre, and will effortlessly leave you speechless.
Gon Freecss is the son of a famous legendary hunter and aspires to become a legendary hunter, too. With boundless potential, talent, and some incredible friends, Gon Freecss has all the tools he needs to become the world’s greatest hunter and find his missing father.
Death Note

With a killer opening theme and an even killer story, it’s not hard to understand why Death Note was one of the first anime outside of the Shônen and Mecha genres to resonate with mainstream audiences.
Light Yagami, an incredibly gifted high school student, begins purging the world of its criminals when he gets his hands on a Death Note, a notebook that can kill anyone whose name is written inside. When L, an equally intelligent individual to Light, figures out that the source of the deaths is Japan, the pair engages in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Jujutsu Kaisen

You can call it recency bias, but there’s one thing that Jujutsu Kaisen exudes effortlessly: hype. It’s another anime that rivals the likes of Demon Slayer and One Piece in popularity, and currently, the anime community can’t get enough of it.
Upon eating the finger of a demon to protect his friends, Yuji Itadori becomes cursed, and the soul of the mighty demon Sukuna inhabits his body. To exorcise Sukuna from his body, Itadori must consume all of Sukuna’s fingers and join the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College to learn control of his new powers.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

Thanks to the highly talented artists of Ufotable, Demon Slayer is one of the most beautifully animated shows in recent memory. Visually striking with a fun story, it’s not hard to see why Demon Slayer has been in such high demand.
After a demon murders Tanjiro’s family, leaving him and his sister Nezuko as the only survivors, he joins the Demon Slayer Corp, hoping to rid the world of demons and cure his sister, who has become a demon after the attack.
One Piece

With 498 episodes (excluding the Egghead Arc), One Piece is one of the longest and best binge-worthy shows on Netflix. All of the pre-time skip episodes are available, and now that Netflix is receiving weekly episodes of the Egghead Island Arc, we fully expect to see post-time skip seasons arrive soon.
Monkey D. Luffy, a rookie pirate, has dreams of finding the fabled One Piece and succeeding Gold Roger as the Pirate King. But first, he must find himself a crew and ship worthy of entering the Grand Line.
