More than one club now plotting move to sign 'incredible' Alisson from Liverpool this summer

Liverpool are all set for a big summer of change as Jurgen Klopp finally departs the club.

Ask any Liverpool supporter and they’ll tell you that eight years and seven months of Klopp has not been nearly enough. But it’s a long time regardless.

As well as the manager leaving, there have been plenty of rumours surrounding some big names in his first-team squad.

Alan Shearer called the situation Liverpool have gotten themselves in with three huge players ‘dangerous’ and there’s a worry that all of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold could all leave.

But beyond that trio of key stars, there is another who is claimed to be potentially on the move. And it will make Liverpool fans shudder at the thought.

Alisson attracting summer interest

For now, it seems that the future of Salah is more certain. It looks likely that the Egyptian will still be at Anfield next season.

Van Dijk’s case has been less well covered, but there have been suggestions that the captain leaving would now be a major shock, too.

As for Trent, he’s reportedly courting interest from Real Madrid. But Liverpool surely know the importance of getting the academy graduate tied down and that will hopefully be a priority once the summer starts.

Away from those three though, rumours have also now started to circulate about goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Interest from Saudi Arabia is reportedly set to arrive, with The Guardian the latest to make that claim. They report that there are actually ‘several’ Saudi sides who now see Alisson as a ‘top transfer target.’

There’s a word on Salah, too. Despite previous suggestions that he’ll be a Liverpool player next season, it’s claimed that the 31-year-old is still an ‘obvious’ target for Pro League teams.

Could Alisson really leave Liverpool

It could easily be argued that Alisson would be the worst player for Liverpool to sell this summer.

Although Caoimhin Kelleher did really well in the Brazilian’s injury absence earlier this campaign, it’s still a big drop-off to the Irishman.

That’s no disrespect to Kelleher, it’s just that Alisson is quite possibly the best goalie in the world. As former England stopper Ben Foster said recently, he’s incredible.’ When you’ve got a player like that, you need to do everything to keep them for as long as you can.

32 later this year, Alisson is now approaching his peak as a goalkeeper. If he’s to get any better than we’ve seen already, then we’re in for something special.

For our money, there’s no way that the Brazil international jumps ship for Saudi this summer. He’s got so much more to give and with a contract until 2027, targeting him seems like a pointless endeavour.
