I'm Taking Off is the second solo album by Nick Carter. The album was released on February 2nd, 2011 in Japan, and May 24nd, 2011 in the United States.
Background[]
After recording This Is Us, Nick went into the studio to record material for a future solo album. On November 28th, 2010, the first single, Just One Kiss was released to Japanese radio stations and hit #12 on the Japan Hot 100. Due to this success, it was announced that his second solo album would come out in Japan on February 2nd, 2011. The album sold 9,928 copies in the first week alone, peaking at #8. Due to the success in Japan, Nick decided to release the album in the United States. It was released on May 24th, 2011, where it peaked at #14 on the Billboard chart.
