More than 20 years after Brian Cox married Nicole Ansari-Cox, the Succession actor is looking back on his big day. During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan on March 24, 2023, Cox reflected on the unforgettable celebration that took place in 2002. "Well, it's like, stuck in my brain," Cox tells hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. “My lovely wife and I decided to get married. We'd actually been apart for awhile—she’d been traveling—and then we sat down and we said, 'Where do we go from here? Do we finish or do we go on?' And we thought, 'Well let's go on and get married.’” Cox asked his wife, who was seated in the audience, for confirmation. “I think she agreed,” he states. “You agreed, didn’t you, honey?” Ansari-Cox smiled and nodded.

The couple’s ceremony took place at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. For the special day, the bride wore a white gown with spaghetti straps and affixed a flower in her hair. “It was great,” the actor recalls. “It was a lovely lady who took the service, and her mother played the piano. She played us going down the aisle and I don't think she realized it, but she knew I was Scottish, so she played the theme from Braveheart.” Cox starred as Arygle Wallace in Braveheart, which is a historical drama about William Wallace’s fight to free his homeland from King Edward I of England during the First War of Scottish Independence.

When it came to their officiant, his bride-to-be had a certain idea in mind. Ripa asked whether Cox requested an Elvis Presley impersonator to conduct the ceremony. “That was a discussion,” he remembers. “Nicole I think was reasonably keen on the idea of Elvis. I said, ‘No something way.’”

The fourth and final season of Succession premiered on Sunday, March 26, 2023, on HBO Max. For the premiere on March 20, 2023, Cox and Ansari-Cox walked the red carpet together at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. The actor—who plays Logan Roy, founder and CEO of Waster Royco on the show, opened up to Entertainment Tonight about being “more than ready” for the series to end. “In a good way, I’m happy it’s over,” he says. “I think we’ve, you know, got to the point where the show has reached its natural closure.” He also added that many television shows outrun their course, but Succession is wrapping up at the right time. “I think our show is perfect and neat in that way,” he notes.

While talking to host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 22, 2023, to talk about the last season of Succession, Cox channeled his character by dropping the f-bomb. “I love endings,” he admits. “I love getting the f*** finished with it.” Fallon and the rest of the audience laughed before the actor apologized for his language. “It’s what I call the Logan Roy disease, and I’ve been affected by it,” he jokes. “My wife’s nearly divorcing me because of it.”
