Congratulations Class of 2024!

On Saturday, May 4th, 2024, Emmanuel University celebrated the graduates of the Class of 2024. In the graduation ceremony, 120 students received their bachelor’s degrees. Additionally, 4 students received their masters degree, and 5 more earned their associate’s degrees.

As a part of his opening remarks, University President, Greg Hearn congratulated the graduates and their families.

“I want to thank you for sharing your God- given gifts and abilities with us,” he said. “By finishing well, you have created hope and momentum for the students at Emmanuel who follow you. We look forward with great expectations towhat God does in your life next. We know you will make us proud.”

During the ceremony President Hearn also took a moment to honor former President Dr. Ronald G. White for his outstanding leadership of Emmanuel College (now Emmanuel University) during his presidential tenure from 2014 until 2023. He was presented with a resolution from the State of Georgia Senate and House of Representatives.  

This year’s commencement speaker was Mr. Greg Beadles, President of the Atlanta Falcons. In his speech, Mr. Beadles encouraged the graduating class to be constant learners throughout life.  “Curiosity and lifelong learning are things that successful people have in common,” Mr. Beadles said. In addition, Beadles mentioned the importance of having meaningful relationships in life. “Success is not just about your own achievements; it is about the relationships we build and the impact we have on others” he added.

Four students received valedictorian honors during the ceremony to celebrate the incredible achievement of having the highest grade point average of the 2024 graduating class. The honored students were:

  1. Nicklas Eichenberger/ Lee’s Summit, Missouri
  2. Jeandre Joubert/ Uvongo, South Africa
  3. Kaitltyn Pickens/Buford, Georgia
  4. Martina Zikmundová/ Czech Republic
