Amy and Tammy Slaton became household names after finding fame on their TV series 1000-Lb Sisters.
But unlike many reality stars Amy and Tammy were never looking for fame – instead, the Kentucky-born siblings were looking to turn their lives around.
At the start of their journey in 2020 the sisters had a combined total weight of a little over 1000 pounds (453.5kg).

From small personal wins to huge milestones like marriages and births, viewers have been along for the ride as the sisters tackle life, love and everything in between.
Off-screen, Amy and Tammy are still busy keeping their massive social media following up-to-date and there's been some big changes in their lives.

At the start of the series, Amy weighed 406 pounds (184 kgs).
She spearheaded the sisters' weight loss journey and was ready to get into shape in the hopes of becoming a mother.

Of the two sisters, Amy was particularly successful in her goal of shedding weight and in Seasons 1 and 2 of the series she was approved for gastric bypass surgery and managed to lose 100 pounds (45 kgs).
She's continued focusing on her weight loss but her personal life has also been in the fast lane.
Fans watched Amy become a mum as she welcomed her first son Gage in November 2020.
She gave birth to another boy on July 8, 2022. "Welcome Glenn Allen Halterman," she captioned an Instagram post at the time.
Amy married her high school sweetheart Michael in Halterman in 2019 and fans had a front row seat at their wedding during Season 1 of the show.
But after tying the knot and welcoming two sons, the pair called it quits in 2023.
Amy told People Magazine that her mental health was "the worst it's ever been" following her divorce.
"It wasn't just affecting me, it was affecting Gage and Glenn. So it was just rough," she said.
Amy was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression and acute stress disorder, "which is like PTSD from the whole stuff going on with Michael," she told People Magazine.
While weight loss will always be a priority for Amy – she's lost 176 pounds (80kgs) and counting – she said that this year she is focusing on her two sons and her mental health.
It seems that there is a new love in Amy's life.
In November 2023, she took to social media to share that she's in a relationship with boyfriend Tony Rodgers.
The pair looked smitten in a collection of photos posted to Amy's TikTok account and it seems that Tony is even stepping up to the role of step-father to Gage and Glen.
Fans were over the moon for Amy.
"I can see how genuine it is. I'm rooting for y'all," one follower commented.
While another said, "Good for you Amy! You deserve to be happy!"
In the early seasons of 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy struggled to reach her weight loss goals.
At her heaviest she reached 725 pounds (328 kgs) and at the end of 2022 she was made to wear a trach tube to help her breathe following a scary medical incident.
After admitting she was knocking on death's door, Tammy turned things around for good and checked into a food addiction rehabilitation facility. These days she's feeling healthier and happier.

In 2022, while in a food addiction rehabilitation centre, Tammy met Caleb Willingham who had also embarked on a weightloss journey of his own.
The pair were engaged in October of that year and were married in November 2022.
It was reported they split after five months of marriage, but there was never any official confirmation.
Sadly, Caleb Willingham passed away on June 30, 2023.
Tammy confirmed the news by posting a sweet tribute to Caleb on social media.
"Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness ❤️❤️," she wrote.
Tammy revealed she was at home in Kentucky when she learned about Caleb's death via text from a friend.
She told People in December 2023 he was the "love of her life"
"What's not to love? He really fit in with our family," she said.
In March 2024, Tammy took to social media to share a touching tribute to her husband Caleb Willingham nine months after his death.
In the video, a tearful Tammy watched back a montage of her and Caleb's journey together including clips of their wedding day.
Tammy struggled to hold back tears and mouthed the words, "You are safe now".
Tammy wore a treble clef pendant necklace that she had created out of Caleb's ashes. In the video she kissed the pendant and clutched it in her hands.
In a previous video, Tammy shared that she keeps a part of her late husband with her at all time by wearing the necklace and his wedding ring alongside her own.
Tammy told People Magazine while the changes in her life may seem small to many they are huge to her.
"Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don't even sleep with it at night anymore," she beamed.
Tammy recently celebrated being able to fit into the front seat of a car and buckle the belt without using an extender.
A small thing but a huge win for Tammy!
Fans are stunned by both Tammy and Amy's transformation.
"I'm so proud of both of you. Keep being strong and amazing. You are wonderful ladies," one follower wrote.
"Tammy!!! Look at you! So proud of you! Looking snatched," another said.

In May 2024, Tammy took to her sister Amy's TikTok account after her own was hacked into.
"Hey y'all I'm on Amy's account because I've gotten hacked," Tammy began in the video message.
"If everybody could please help me report that account I'd really appreciate it."
Tammy has a major social media following with 765,000 fans on Instagram and 1.4 million on TikTok (before she was hacked).
Some of those fans reached out to Tammy in the comment section of the video she posted.
"Oh no! That's horrible, I'm sorry that happened 😭," one wrote.
While another said: "We got you girl! Just went and reported them! ❤️."
In April 2024, Tammy appeared to be having the time of her life as she enjoyed a swimming session with her close pal Haley Michelle.
Fans loved the look, and some asked Tammy if she and Hayley were more than friends after she opened up about her sexuality earlier this year.
"Are you dating?" one fan asked, to which Tammy responded: "Just best friends."
Tammy also shared a sweet tribute to her bestie, which you can see on the next slide.

In April 2024, Tammy impressed her fans with a new full-body mirror selfie that received 1.4 million TikTok likes!
Considering she has 1.4 million followers on the social sharing platform, you could say the post has reached every single fan.
The star hyped herself up in the video wearing a long black tee and khaki pants. "#ootd (Outfit of the Day)," she captioned it.
Over a hundred fans cheered Tammy on in the comments section.
"YES MA'AM GET IT TAMMY!!!!!!!!!" wrote one excited follower.
"Dang! Looking good," said another.
"Okay Tammy you go girlyyy😝," hyped a third, while a fourth added: "Wow you look great!"

Earlier she shared a standing mirror selfie rocking a sweet smile, a pair of jeans and a camo-print top.

Fans went wild over a recent photo posted by Tammy showing off her incredible weight loss.

The post came following news that Tammy is hoping prioritise a new career in plus-size modelling.
"Tammy wants to represent people in her community who have been through what she has been through," the U.S. Sun reported.

Tammy was on cloud nine after celebrating another big win in her transformation journey.
In January 2024, she experienced her very first plane ride!
The reality star, was seen documenting the milestone in a teaser for an upcoming episode of 1000-lb Sisters.
"Getting on a plane, I'm shaking," Tammy confessed in the E! News video.
The reality star revealed that she bought both seats beside her, and was surprised when she "comfortably" fit in just one seat.
"And honestly, I wasn't sure if the seatbelt was gonna fit around me. So I tried, and it does fit," she beamed.
It was a momentary celebration, as Tammy was quite "nervous" for the plane to take off.
"I was cool until we actually started lifting off," she explained in the trailer. "My family forgot to mention some stuff about the plane ride."
She was referring to the "really bad" turbulence they experienced, which would be a surprise to any first-time flier.
Soon, Tammy was able to calm her nerves.
"Once I was able to compare to things I've already done, like riding in a car or going over train tracks, I was golden," she revealed.
"It's pretty cool being able to share a victory with my family."
In January 2024, Tammy shared a fun fashion moment with fans on her TikTok.
In the video, she tested out poses for a mirror selfie, wearing jeans, black and white slippers and a tie-dye shirt that fans couldn't get enough of.
She posted the video to Australian band Ocean Alley's hit song 'Confidence'.
"You look amazing!! I love that shirt," commented one follower, while another wrote: "Looking great Tammy!"
In a separate post, Tammy shared another video a fan had sent her.
In the clip the fan said: "I'm still over here rooting for you my girl, keep doing you, keep being beautiful, keep being strong, we love you."
"So proud of you!" wrote another.

In the same month, Tammy opened up about her sexuality in a post shared to TikTok.
She responded to a fan who asked if she was trans, after she shared a video using emojis for the Pride flag and transgender flag in her caption.
"No, I'm not trans. I'm just a supporter of everybody," she explained. "I was saying I was pansexual but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed. So, I'm like a lesbian."
She continued: "I was just showing support. I'm not a hater. Love is love. Everybody deserves love whether they're gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary, whatever. I'm just a lover."
Tammy is on a major high since smashing her weight loss milestones.
And what better way to celebrate than to dance?
The 1000-Lb Sisters star took to her TikTok to share the good vibes as she danced to Pharell Williams' song Happy.
"Me just living my best life lol I'm being stupid. Just wanted to share a laugh with y'all," Tammy captioned the video.
Tammy certainly succeeded in her mission of spreading positivity to her 1.3 million followers.
"This made me smile to see how good you are doing," one commented on the video.
While another wrote, "I am just blown away at your transformation! So good to see you happy and thriving."
But with all the love Tammy received, came a handful of negative comments which Tammy later addressed in a separate video.
Tammy has since thanked her followers for their kind comments recently, but she also addressed some of the criticism she's faced as well.
During an unboxing video, Tammy said she appreciated the "good, bad, all the comments, all the hate."
Tammy even directly addressed the haters, saying: "All the haters out there, they're making fun of me…I pray for you."
