Assault with Deadly Weapon: Three Juveniles Arrested in Corcoran

Wednesday, May 8 a disturbing incident of violence came to light when the Corcoran Police Department’s School Resource Officer was informed of a physical altercation which occurred at the Recreation Association of Corcoran (RAC). The incident had occurred approximately a week prior, May 1, and involved several juveniles.

According to reports, three male juveniles were observed on video assaulting another male juvenile in what appeared to be a coordinated attack. The victim, a 16-year-old male resident of Corcoran, was reportedly “jumped” by the suspects.

Following an investigation, the suspects were identified as three male juveniles ages 14, 13 and 14. All three suspects were apprehended while at school. They were charged with violation of 245(A)(1) PC – Assault with a deadly weapon, other than a firearm.

Subsequently, all three juveniles were transported and booked at the Kings County Juvenile Hall for their alleged involvement in the assault.

The investigation into the assault is ongoing, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Corcoran Police Department.
