I learned this a few nights past whilst doomscrolling tiktok and found a Fry interview ( https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLVTdDFH/ ) about doing Hagrid's voice. I gave it a like, started scrolling past, then saw it was posted by the Audible account.
I immediately switched to the audible app and refunded the first book by Dale (nothing against him, I'm just a Fry fangirl, have been for years) and bought the first by Fry. It's been enjoyable, cozy even.

I’m from the UK and we’ve always had Stephen Fry’s versions and it’s so weird some of the book covers are the same but some are different. Like 1 and 2 are the same from your screenshot, but all the rest are different covers
When I had an interest in listening to the books, only Dale's versions were "officially" available on Audible. To get Fry's, one had to go to some third party site (I had it bookmarked) which just... Wasn't the same.
I'm not sure when exactly the Fry versions were ported over - or even why the decision was made now, with so little fanfare - but here we are. It's why I made the post.
I had only heard Dale until Audible got Fry’s versions for the US. I’m almost done with 4. Starting in book 2, they had some fun effects to make the performances more fun. I’m enjoying them.
