A new clip from Young Sheldon reveals the onscreen reunion of original Big Bang Theory stars Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik. Parsons' character Sheldon Cooper has been part of the CBS universe from the very beginning when the flagship show premiered with season 1 in 2007, while Bialik joined the main cast as Sheldon's eventual wife Amy Farrah Fowler later on in season 4 after a recurring appearance in season 3. The prequel spinoff Young Sheldon stars Iain Armitage in the title role, but Parsons returned as narrator.

TVLine has shared a new clip featuring the original Big Bang Theory stars' onscreen reunion in the upcoming Young Sheldon season 7 finale, which will end the show on May 16. See it below:

The clip begins as usual with Parsons' narration describing a scene. However, it quickly cuts to the modern day with Amy looking over Sheldon's shoulder and criticizing his description of himself. As they bicker about his memoir and the birth of one of their children, the camera zooms out to reveal a room in their new home, which was not a part of the original show.

Will Any Other Big Bang Theory Characters Appear In The Young Sheldon Finale?

Sheldon And Amy's Friends Could Still Make Cameos

This upcoming scene from the finale marks the first time that Bialik or Parsons has reprised either of their original Big Bang Theory characters onscreen in Young Sheldon, despite both being involved in the show in different capacities. The fact that this clip has been revealed ahead of time seems to indicate that there will be more scenes featuring the pair, otherwise CBS may not have spoiled the surprise. However, it remains to be seen if these moments feature any of the other main characters of the original sitcom.

In addition to Amy and Sheldon, the main cast of The Big Bang Theory includes Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Howard (Simon Helberg), Rajesh (Kunal Nayyar), and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch).

While it makes the most sense for Amy to be featured, considering she shares a home with Sheldon, it's entirely possible that any of their friends could be visiting in other modern-day scenes from the finale. Ultimately, it seems likely that any further cameos joining the Young Sheldon cast in the final episode will depend on the willingness and availability of the remaining stars from the flagship show. As far as willingness, this doesn't seem out of the question, as Nayyar and Rauch recently had their own Big Bang Theory reunion in an episode of Rauch's revival sitcom Night Court.

What Happens To Every Big Bang Theory Character After It Ends

The Big Bang Theory ends on a high note, with Sheldon and the rest of the Pasadena gang going on to live great lives after the show wrapped up.

However, the stars of The Big Bang Theory have spread far and wide in the years since the show ended in 2019. Cast commitments include Rauch's lead role in Night Court and Nayyar's upcoming performance as Scrooge in Christmas Karma, in addition to the fact that Galecki has largely stepped away from acting in the meantime. This may prevent any further appearances in Young Sheldon, though the show is giving way to its own spinoff, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, which could find a way to include further cameos in the future should the opportunity present itself.

The Young Sheldon series finale airs on Thursday, May 16 on CBS.
