To call Victoria Beckham a success in life would be an understatement as she has become a global icon through the Spice Girls and modelling, but perhaps her greatest achievement is her family, and they all celebrated their mom for Mother's Day.

Posh Spice has four children, Brooklyn (25), Romeo (21), Cruz (19) and Harper (12) through her marriage with David Beckham, which took place in 1999 after they met in 1997 in a successful partnership.

"Happy US Mother's Day to all the mother figures out there," Beckham posted to Instagram. "I love you all so much @davidbeckham, @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xxx."

The Beckham's have now celebrated Mother's Day twice in 2024, as she previously celebrated the United Kingdom's date which is different to the USA. That's because the parents of the family are actually British despite spending most of their time in the USA.

But the photo of the 50-year-old and her kids, in front of a table with white flowers and golden love heart balloons everywhere, seems to be from a family dinner for her most recent birthday, meaning it's unclear how the quartet decided to celebrate their mother in the US.

Why do we celebrate Mother's Day?

Mother's Day is celebrated to honor and appreciate mothers and motherhood. The tradition of honoring mothers has ancient roots, with early Greek and Roman festivals dedicated to mother goddesses.

In the United States, the modern Mother's Day holiday was established in the early 20th century by Anna Jarvis as a way to honor her own mother and to recognize the sacrifices mothers make for their children.

Over time, Mother's Day has become a global celebration observed in many countries, typically on the second Sunday in May. It's a day to show gratitude, love, and respect for mothers, grandmothers, and other maternal figures in our lives.
