Karen Millen was founded in 1981 by a lovely lady of the same name. What started off as a business for classic white cotton shirts soon evolved to a destination for high quality designs and meticulous craftsmanship at an attainable price. In short, Karen Millen UK creates a variety of timeless, luxurious and fashion forward designs that women are proud to wear.
Is Karen Millen legit?
Yes! They are a real brand and have been in business for over 40 years. Their website is legitimate so you don’t have to worry about anything there 😉
Karen Millen Sizes Reviews
Does Karen Millen run small? Before my first purchase, this was actually one of my main questions I had. I did a ton of research and found very little on the subject. What I did find were varying answers. So now that I’ve amassed a handful of their pieces I feel equipped enough to answer the question. Do Karen Millen dresses run small?
The short answer – yes and no. In relation to other brands, I do find that they run just a tad bit smaller. However, I do find that they run true to size according to their own size chart and across multiple items. For example, I am normally a size US 2 or 4 (always a UK 8) but their size UK 10 fits me perfect! This is one size larger than I typically wear but my advice would be to go by the measurements on their size chart rather than your “normal” size. This will give you a more accurate fit and a better idea of how Karen Millen sizing runs.
Is Karen Millen a good brand?
Is Karen Millen a luxury brand? Karen Millen does have premium pricing and designs so I would consider it a luxury brand of sorts. Overall, I really love the variety of designs and styles that they carry. You can find anything from ladylike coats and glamorous gowns to romantic style blouses and edgy leather skirts. They also cater to a variety of body types and heights with their plus size, curve, petite and tall collections.
As a short gal myself (4’11”), I was particularly excited to find that they had a ton of petite styles. It’s very hard to find petite clothing in general, but it’s especially difficult when it comes to more feminine romantic styles. I do have quite a few of their pieces that are normal sizes as well and although they are a bit on the longer side, they still look incredibly flattering!
Is Karen Millen worth it?
Is Karen Millen good quality? Absolutely!! I have several of Karen Millen dresses and coats and they are impeccable. Each piece is made with luxurious, high quality fabrics and the fit is spot on. My pieces have a variety of embroidery, jewel embellishments, pleating, tulle, faux fur, etc and everything is pristine. They all make such a statement in the best way! I feel beautiful in them and I have gotten so many compliments on each item.
In fact, the outfit in this post is among my favorites! The dress features embroidery with shimmering sequin details while the coat is created with warm wool and a soft faux fur collar. The dress is a complete show stopper with it’s unique look while the coat is more versatile with the ability to be styled with anything!

Overall Thoughts
Overall, I am very happy with my Karen Millen clothes! I have adored everything that I’ve received from them. Many designs are hyper feminine but there are also many other items to choose from that might fit your personal style. Fit, in my experience has been perfect! I do think the prices are in line with quality as well. Whether it’s for work, date night, an evening event or a weekend outing, I highly recommend checking them out, especially if your style leans more on the ladylike side.
